Re: Height of the planer table for an A3?

Mine lives on a mobile stand.? The planer bed is 31" above the floor when set for planing 1" material.? I think it is comparable to the shop where I sometimes take lessons where there is both an A3 and a standalone powermatic.

Hello All,
Could one of you tell me the height of the planer table from the floor when you are planing something about 1" thick? Curious to know how it compares with a stand alone planer. Obviously lower but I'd like to know how much.
Thanks,
Jim

With push to connect fittings you want to have the end of your tubing, pretty square.
At the seat of the push Connect, there¡¯s a small O-ring so when you push the tubing ?into the collet the tubing has to slip around the O-ring. You can only fix a leak with the air disengaged..
The easiest way to remove the tubing is using an open end wrench as an example quarter inch tubing OD use the 5/16 open end open against the end of the collet ?and the tubing will pull out.

Yeah if you have a reverse osmosis system these are the same type of connections, push in the ring and pull out the hose on all the connections. Even comes with a cutter to make square cuts on the hose. If you can lay it in the sun for a while it will help with the coil memory.?

Pex-B is rated at 160psi - my system is regulated to 120 psi - I would agree that that is not a 3x safety factor but I have had no issues.?

The easiest and cheapest way to run compressor around your shop is with rubber or hybrid air hose quarter 3/8 half 3/4 with Barb fittings. There is a vast array of fittings.
Straight elbow, reduce increase T ?I use the cinch tool from McMaster pinch off..
Air hose typically as a 300 psi burst.
I¡¯ve had this system set up in my Mill shop and machine shop for 20+ years.
At home in my assembly lab, I use PEX.
You can mont with pex brackets zip ties and so on.
Never had any leaking problems.

Re: Air lines distribution

I ended up getting the maxline kit by rapid air (1/2¡±ID and did 4 drops)
Now that I am about to test the system I see that my air compressor is broken is leaking (the gauge was also broken from something the fell on it when I moved from my old shop)
?
So I need to get a new air compressor.
My main air usage would be:
1)Mac clamps
2)air nail/staplers?
3)The SCM J/P FS7 uses air
4)I see in the future mini WBS.
?
I thought about getting the California air 2HP, 10 gallons with auto drain.
?
https://www.californiaairtools.com/contractor-grade-ultra-quiet-series-of-air-compressors/2-0-hp-air-compressors/cat-10020acad/
?
What do you think about it? Any other recommended air compressor? (Noise is a big factor here as my shop is in attached garage)
