Re: Remote control for 3ph AF22.
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýOne more thing. The cable should have an earth conductor. Ask an electrician but most likely earth can continue as it did originally. Let us know if there is a neutral wire in the power cable and whether it is used or not. Imran On Mar 14, 2022, at 9:37 AM, Imran Malik <imranindiana@...> wrote:
? Taylor, It is not too difficult but you can decide if you can handle this. There may also be a different solution by opening the electrical cabinet but that would be more involved. You need a 3 phase contactor that is rated for your motor¡¯s fully loaded amps and voltage. This is one example but not the one you need. These are designed to turn power on and off to a motor and are designed to be controlled by a single phase relay. I am not sure if you common voltage is 240V or 440V but let¡¯s assume it is 240V. In that case you will buy a 3 phase contactor that is rated for 440V and FLA current of your AF22 that has a 240V control relay. Controlling the relay is like a light switch. In fact, this is exact setup I used to turn on/off my rotary phase converter for may yrs. A light switch on the wall that turned on/off the 3 phase contactor. To complete the picture now you need a simple remote that controls a single phase load. You should have many choices in 240V. It is relay control so there is very low current. If your AF has an electrical enclosure with din rail, this 3 phase contactor will just snap on to it. You can cut the power cord such that it remains connected to the wall outlet but now connects to the 3 phase contactor input. The machine end of your cord connects to the output terminals. You will need to now add the remote that will control the relay of the 3 phase contactor. This will be a 2 conductor cable connected to the relay control terminals of the 3 phase contactor. Best option will be to bring that cable out and plug it into the remote controlled switch that is wall mounted or if possible you could mount it to the outside of dust collector cabinet. Here is a 240V remote shown as an example. The purpose of this message is to communicate the theory. Hopefully, this allows you to communicate what you need better to an electrician. If you intend to do it yourself, you need to consult with someone who is familiar with your local electrical codes. Feel free to ask if you have any questions and someone smart will likely answer that ? I am not one of them but I like to help ? Im a long time lurker and posting now to ask all of you very smart people for advice on remote controlling my 3ph 440v af22 that doesnt have an NVR switch. I found that all the off the shelf solutions are for 240v single phase machines. And the only electrical work im semi comfortable with is changing a plug so i dont even know where to begin with this. Re: Felder K700S (and others) Wenge Zero Clearance Inserts
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThank you all who have reached out with interest in the wenge zero clearance inserts! The first 10 sold out very quickly but I am planning on making some more this week for others that have inquired.? Should I continue making these as a regular item depending on demand, there will be a price increase. You can think of the price for the initial run as an early introductory sale ;)? In all honesty though, I¡¯ve gained some great knowledge since joining this group and I felt it was right to offer something in return.? On Mar 13, 2022, at 8:40 AM, G. Lane <lane247@...> wrote:

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýYou could probably get the full 24¡±-26¡± with mine, they stick out a lot less than the Felder unit.

Re: Fritz and Fran jigs
Jerry - you can do exactly that with my Fritz and Franz jig.? You can set the stop on the front scale to the desired location and then slide up the back portion and set its stop exactly the same as the front to get a parallel cut.? In practice, I find my stops to be quite accurate so I can use the scale on both stops and set them to the same value independently and I'll get a parallel cut. I believe this is what Tim showed in his photos in a previous post and he is within 0.001"
