Bill, Yes it is 24VAC that is present on terminal 7 when in auto position. Closing external (user supplied) relay provides 24VAC to terminal 8, which should start the machine. Imran

You are absolutely right, I reread the manual and it is for the Felder automated start solution. I do not know how this OEM Felder solution works, but at some point it opens and closes this circuit
