? You can adjust the height of the mortiser on the stand with a bolt that goes through a slot in the back of the stand (see photo)

Here are some photos of part 71 with the lever attached. There is a cam at the end and two rounded slots that a spring loaded ball bearing fit into to hold the lever in the up position while the mortiser is slid into place.?
