Re: Mustang brake upgrade
Will, Nothing wrong with spacers when done right. I had to use spacers on my '68 Torino because the new NON-concourse control arm ball joint domes burried themselves into the tire sidewall preventing

Re: Mustang brake upgrade
Thanks guys for all your help. As an after thought I checked with the mustang guy that restored my Torino. Happens he had a set of oem spindles with rebuilt disk brakes for $500. He may even help with

Re: Mustang brake upgrade
These ones came with no centers, got them from Summit Racing. Bought the red Ford crest centers from Autokrafters. I think they use 2 tabs that tighten with a nut. When I'd tighten the lug nuts, the

Re: Mustang brake upgrade

Re: Mustang brake upgrade
Jay, I've mainly used NPD, but would prefer going original parts if possible, so try West Coast Classic Cougar in Salem, Oregon. If you're going to do a swap, might as well put in a booster. Steve

Re: Mustang brake upgrade
Jay, not sure what kind of budget your friend has, I didn't have much of one at the time. I found out Granada disc brakes and the spindles will fit on Mustangs and Fairlanes. That's what I ended up

I know some of you are Mustang gurus and that the answer would be the same for the fairlane. I have a friend with a 69 Mustang V8 with non power shoe brakes. He would like to add at least front disc

Hello Steve, First I have to say that you are awefully ambitious to do that work wthout ?a 'spot welder' if that means you don't have a 'welder' at all. If you just mean you don't have a dedicated
