Re: Rear seat storage pull out drawer, w/pics
Hi Ron My floor is dying on my van. Spongy everywhere. I am really interested in how you redid your floor. Did you remove all the existing cabinetry/trims? Can you let me know in detail how you

Re: My mechanic broke my expensive stereo system
He should pay. Have you already paid him for the other work;ie.oil change, belt, hoses, etc.? If not, tell him you are withholding his payment until he makes good on the stereo. When you say 'told

Re: on th road to reno woes ... help
John, I just happened to be on the phone with a gentleman named Mark Abbott when I read your email. I found him on the Samba parting out a couple 93's and picked up a few parts for my 95. He said he

Re: on th road to reno woes ... help
Kind of basic but did you check the AT fluid level? Does the AT fluid look good or is it burnt?

Re: on th road to reno woes ... help
If there was a problem with the TCM, would I be able to manually shift into 1st, 2nd or 3rd? I'm not able to, and I'm afraid that this is an indication of a more serious transmission issue. When I

Re: Cooling Fan Resistors are Hot!
Jim, Yeah, I agree that the resistors get "too" hot, but that appears to be the design. The result of this is that we should expect to routinely replace these resistors- it is now a maintenance

Re: Vehicle to be towed by insurance company
Hi Susan, I'm not sure how close to GoWesty you are. In your situation, I might even consider tranporting for even $1000 and I'm in Oregon. Take a look at the following two articles that I've

Re: on th road to reno woes ... help
The "limp mode" you describe (always in 3rd gear) is an issue with the TCM. I'm no expert but I doubt the ECM would cause that to happen. The TCM will signal a fault (shift indicators all black)

Re: Cooling Fan Resistors are Hot!
I do think that the resistors getting so hot that they thoroughly melt the bumper cover plastic is a bit excessive. But the problem is primarily with the mounting location. The resistors and their

Re: Longevity of Shurflo faucet with integrated switch?
Thanks. That's what I was figuring. Can't believe I've put up with the OEM 95 unit so long (since 97). I don't know what Winnebago was thinking to put the switch above the fridge in those early

Re: Longevity of Shurflo faucet with integrated switch?
I've only had mine for a couple of years, but I can say you will love the newer style with the switch in the faucet as opposed to the oem faucet in the 95. Pete 95 EVC

Re: on th road to reno woes ... help
Did you disconnect both battery cables (pos and neg) and then hold them together? This is the manual reset method. Just making sure that you are not just removing one cable as this will not reset it.

Re: on th road to reno woes ... help
I tried that, but it doesn't seen to do anything. I followed a procedure to reset the ECM - http://www.troublecodes.net/VW/ It seemed like ti helped at first. But, I may have just been a little
