FS 2002 Full EuroVan Camper $20,000

Malcolm Stebbins

Van is available in mid May, 2023.

We will deliver anywhere between Texas and Michigan.?

We are taking our last trip in our well-maintained 2002 full EuroVan Camper, so we are now selling our great camper van.

We are retired & non-smokers (clean van). The odometer reads about 185,000 miles.

The stove & sink both work. Not sure about the fridge, we rarely use it.

The AC works fine & the transmission shifts smoothly; we have frequently changed all the engine fluids & filters including the transmission fluid and filter. This is important with EuroVans.

We have never used the furnace; but it did work when we purchased the van.

Replaced during our ownership:
Complete exhaust,?
Engine water pump,?
Rebuilt AC compressor,?
Brake pads,??
New tires: about 10,000 miles ago,
Fuel Vapor Evaporator Charcoal Canister.

Extras include:
EuroVan Side Awning,
Audi Wheels,
Carpeting,
Seat covers,
Many camping/kitchen items,
ScanGuage (important for monitoring the engine),
Auxiliary Transmission fluid cooler, (Important for keeping the transmission fluid from overheating),
Transmission fluid dipstick,
External 110 V power cord,
Tire jack,
Both the EuroVan's owner's manual and the Winnebago owner's manual,
Van Cover (to be mailed when I arrive in Michigan)

On the 20-year-old vehicle there are a few items that don't work quite so well:
The rear clothes closet sliding door does not latch well,
One of the pop-top roof lights does not work,
There are a few minor scrapes and scratches around the interior and exterior of the van,
Some discolored streeks on the pop top canvas.
Slight crack in left rear taillight.
Driver's seat right armrest has come off, I do have the armrest though.
Speaker grill on driver's door is cracked with quarter size piece missing.
Some stains on the carpet.
Fusebox cover is missing a frange.
The self cancelling turn indicators don't always self cancel.

Re: Weatherproof car cover

I¡¯d be happy to have it if you haven¡¯t yet found a home. I have a ¡®95 EVC and will be in the Bay Area this Friday. Perhaps I could pick it up, or if you prefer I can give you an address in Petaluma where I will be staying for ten days or so.

Thanks.

Okay enough eulogizing! I have a eurovan camper extended-wheelbase weatherproof car cover, used once when when the van was new, when we then realized I couldn¡¯t manage it solo.

It¡¯s yours for the cost of shipping it to you. Let me know! I¡¯m in the San Francisco Bay Area.

PS ha, you may be hearing from me again if the student doesn¡¯t come pick up this brand new pair of rear brake calipers I had shipping to me when the student took delivery, it needs them, but it¡¯s not my decision anymore!

Re: Weatherproof car cover

Karey,??
I am interested your extra Yakima roof racks.? More likely you can part them to someone much closer than shipping to Bellingham, WA.? We do have a close friend in San Franciso and we can pick them up in the future.

Riot of a story of van plus student and the unknown. Been there and will again no doubt.

Re: Replacement fuel lines for 1997 EVC

I had some headmaster work done. Drove my '97 90 miles and smelled gas,? The injectors were going so I had all replaced. Thrilling to see you have been doing 90 minutes then see gasoline gushing out.

I live in Minnesota, where we get a lot of rust from salty winter roads. As soon as there is a tiny chip in the paint, the salt gets in and starts working on the metal underneath.

It seems like some paints are prone to letting water wick in between the paint and the metal, where it can freeze. The expanding ice wedges even more paint free from the metal, creating a pocket for even more water to collect. The rust spreads underneath the paint, causing bubbles.

I've never found a perfect solution as good as the factory; but POR-15 is the best I've found. This is a black paint that's designed to chemically bond to bare and rusted steel. I sand, wire-brush, or grind the metal as clean as possible, apply a couple coats of POR-15, and then a few coats of touch-up paint of the appropriate color. The resulting repair isn't as good as the factory finish, but at least it stops it from rusting further.

I have the same question for the Mid Atlantic region (VA, WV, MD). Any
body shops there that you can recommend who would do that kind of work?
Thanks.

Hello all,
I am trying to get the van ready for the up coming camping season. We
have an unrepairable ding in our windshield and will have to replace it.
We had a windshield replaced in the past and when they did it they must
have scratched something because I have some rust bubbles starting around
the windshield. I would like to get the rust repaired while I am getting
the windshield replaced. I would also like to take care of some other
cosmetic damage. I am wondering if there is anyone in the Seattle area
that people would recommend?
Thanks in advance,
