Cross Fingers, and reading in other threads here that the Suburban NT-16 SQ (not the NT-16SE Direct Exchange) will take the place of the original NT-12. The size and specs appear to be correct for the space and wiring.? It doesn't make sense to switch over to a Propex furnace and relocate everything.? Amazon, eBay, and other sellers didn't have one or were more expensive. In a few days, It will arrive and I hope to report back with a positive installation report
Adventure RV Center
2910 Newport Highway
Sevierville, TN 37876
Manufacturer's Number: 2444A NT-16SQ NT-16S NT-16SQT
$589.00?
12VDC 2.8 amp draw. Electronic ignition, gasket-sealed vent assemblies, steel gas manifolds, sealed forced-draft combustion, and chrome-plated vent caps.
N-16 Unit size: 9-3/8"H x 9-3/8"W x 21-27-3/8"D.? (Depth varies, depending on extension tubes which I don't anticipate using or at least not beyond the 24"D of the NT-12)
NT-12 Unit size; 9-1/2"H X 9 1/4 W X 23"D with exhaust vent connection 24" D (actual measurements in Van) Technical manual specs? 9-1/2"H X 8"W X 24"D?
Another option is- NT-12 Repair kit, and replacement motor which may be the ticket.? I went with a new one so I wouldn't have to second guess if a nearly 30-year NT-12 was too far gone.
