I went back to the dealer to complain about the spark plug and the crazy plug wires.
After telling the service manager the details he volunteered to have the vehicle towed in and the spark plug installation fixed - no charge!
The wrecker driver was there at 7:15 this morning and I had the vehicle back at 3pm - no charge. And they didn't "find" a lot of other things that needed fixing, either.
It works.
I'll check it out with my inspection mirror when I get home, but it's not stumbling anymore.
I'm impressed. I didn't expect the dealership to do this (it's under new management - maybe the new owner doesn't like the bad rep that most of the dealerships in town have for lousy service and is actually doing something about it). The dealership is Momentum VW (formerly Mahan VW) "inside the Loop" in Houston.
