I don't know what year your ev is, but mine is a 99. My wife smashed the
passenger side mirror. The mirror just snaps into place so we ordered a new
part (about $95 with the 10% vw club discount) and snapped it in, all is
well now

well, i finally broke the driver's side mirror backing out of the
garage. Oh, the mount flexed fine, but the mirror cracked and broke
loose from something inside. And then while I was seeing if it was a
simple press fitting, it cracked even more! Right now I've got it
held in place by rubber bands.
I haven't called the dealer or any junkyards yet. Has anyone else
broken theirs and gotten it repaired again? I don't recall seeing
anything about them in the Bentley, but I wasn't looking for it
specifically (yet).
