Hi All,
I can't locate a power window issue quite like mine in the archives, so thought I'd put out
a new post to the group.
I've had this issue for 3+ yrs and now have plans to take a long road trip, so I'm trying to resolve this
before I hit the road.
Here are the symptoms:
1. Both windows work fine when the outside temperature is less than ~70 deg.
??? Working with the drive side switch as well as the passenger side. Just like it ought to.
??? When the outside temperature is above ~70 deg or so, both windows won't open or close.
??? A side note is that when it's warm/hot out and I'm trying to open the passenger window (with driver side switch panel),
??? there is a clicking sound generated over by the passenger door. But nothing happens, it just clicks.
2. Recently I discovered that when I fully open the driver door and it stretches the wiring harness a bit, both windows
??? work!. Even in warm/hot outside temperature.
??? Have any of you had this particular circumstance?
??? If so, did you figure out a fix for this?

When I expose the wiring harness, it looks good and wrapped nicely with no signs of damage.

I have plans to remove the door panel to investigate further, but really don't know what to look for.
Anyone have any tips or advice on what to look for and how to proceed?
