Quite the database accumulating here. :^)
1995 EVC, 115k miles, 91 octane fuel, I5/5 speed, and driven around
town daily. Nekobasu gets between 15 and 16 mpg in the city. On
road trips it can be anywhere from 19 mpg to 24 mpg (coming back
from Canyonlands), usually around 22 mpg. On long trips here in
the western US I usually manage 70-80 mph. Cruise control is my
friend ...
With a duffel bag strapped into the over-cab compartment we got
13 mpg from Utah into Nevada. Stowed the bag, and at the next
stop boosted to 19 mpg (van loaded -> moving). And living here
now in W. Washington hills, local mileage is a bit lower than
in the flatter Salt Lake city area.
I would say that for its weight this vehicle performs very well,
and the engine takes mountains better than some passenger cars.
