Duane, Bob, & All -
I looked into DC 7-20V Panel mount Voltmeters, & found a
LCD 3 1/2 digit Blue back-lit meter with mounting bezel
[EBay #37051396859]. Buy Now @ $4.99 +USA S/H $10.00
Flat rate. This includes built-in converter, to supply meter
from voltage being measured. [Other style meter reads 0-20V
& uses a 9V battery.]
His Bay Store has 0-2, 0-20, 0-50, 0-100 Ammeters, LCD
Back-lit [match VM] - Buy Now @ $6.99 + $13.65 USA S/H,
for individual purchases.
I asked seller about a possible Group Buy to my USA location,
& received the following:
- - - - - -
"Hi,the price of one volt meters is USD9.99
include shipping cost.
The price of one AMP meters is USD16.99 include
shipping cost. - giorgio11185"

Notes: Voltmeters & Ammeters look identical, except
for tiny 'A' or 'V' on display. Shunt is external [supplied]
for 20A & above.
The external shunt on 20A allows easy remote reading by
running low current wire to meter.
Meters can be surface mounted. Depth = 2 cm, width 2 cm,
Height = 4 cm.
Shipping from China still seems high. I'll try to work with
him for best total price after I see how many are interested.
The 0-20V Blue LED meter I asked him about has a $6.99
price; the 7-20V LCD is $2 cheaper, so that's a start. I
*think* my local USPS shipping will be $2 for an individual
Volt-meter, or $3 for 2 meters shipped together to USA.
Canadian rates about $1 USD higher.
I think he will allow substitutions, if a few want Red or Blue
LED vs. LCD. See his 'store' for many meter options, including
AC. Shipping is more for higher current meters, but he *may*
add a few to a group shipment. They are heavier also, due to
external shunt.
Disclaimer - I'm not associated with the Bay seller. I'm not
trying to make $ from this, but maybe we can save with a
Group Buy.
I haven't used this latest version of the panel meter, but
I've used the 0-20V LED model, with 9V battery. They can't
be powered from same circuit being measured, but are nice
meters. Some were packaged with & w/o the bezel, but his seem
to all have them. You can see his pix of 7-20V & 2A [+ 20A,
etc. w/ ext. shunt] meters.
I already cut my '03 EVC power panel above the 'fridge for
mounting my old Red LED meter, but will wait for the Blue
Back-lit LCD units.
A few Q & A + discussion may be appropriate here, but we
can handle most details direct, if there is enough interest.
Regards,
Jack_son

Here is another voltmeter from GoWesty:
It is the same meter that someone posted as availble from a few
different solar power companies, but the Go Westy price is a lot
better.

Here is the information for a voltmeter that you can install
in the lighter plug or direct on the 12V line to verify the
status
of your battery
