I completely disagree, there are all sorts of
things that need that precision in ham radio, Voting and
simulcast to name a couple.
Ok.. you got me there.. simulcasting and accurate voting repeater
systems really do need precision clocks but I would argue they only
need accurate time amoungst eachother.? I don't know if they really
need to be aligned to the world clock.? Anyway.
