Re: RELS Manual #RELS
They really help! THANKS again. We will need a video showing just the setup, focused on the LED and buttons maybe with an operation added to the end. Ralph

Re: RELS Manual #RELS
Ralph, I have already added the timeline descriptions to the first three videos, I only have the remaining two to complete. You should be able to scroll down and see them. -- Regards, Charlie New

Re: RELS Manual #RELS
Hi, Ralph, I hope the videos will help you to understand how the system works. I created them because I had trouble understanding some aspects of RELS until I actually tried to operate it, in spite of

Re: RELS Manual #RELS
Thank you, Thank you Charlie!! The videos are what is needed if we really want to promote RELS. Plus they will really help me understand what is supposed to happen. I wonder if there is a subtitle

Re: RELS Manual #RELS
As I said I use a nano with some software "wot I rote". I will stick it with the rest of the RELS stuff at some point. Richard

Re: RELS Manual #RELS
Thanks Richard, so there isn't any RPM display coming from the encoder directly. Now I need a link to whatever counts the pulses. I want to stick with known working devices. Ralph

Re: RELS Manual #RELS
That is an OLED display used to show the spindle rpm. There is a one per rev pulse from the Mega which I look at with a nano to drive the display. Richard

Re: RELS Manual #RELS
Thanks Richard, that really helps to see pictures. It would really help if someone would do a video of using the RELS. What is in that rectangle to the left of the LED? Ralph

Re: RELS Manual #RELS
You have it Ralph! To help maybe see the pics of my control unit and Joystick box. The main control unit shows the four Left, Right, Front, Rear buttons with the Select button to the left and a reset

Re: RELS Manual #RELS
Just read the whole thing again probable the 4 or 5th time and it "might" be sinking in. The "limit" switches are virtual not actual limit switches. It actually makes sense. They are set for distance

RELS Manual #RELS
Confused as usual. re: "Positioned with the Joystick are 5 illuminated buttons. The four in diamond format control the REAR, FRONT, RIGHT, and LEFT limits." What? Are these Limit switches, limit

Hi Rex. Quite willing to help with any printer problems you have. I would be like a duck out of water without mine now. Interested in any of your casting techniques, not as though I would have a go

John, I marked this to reply to you but just got my round-to-it. I'm in Portland Oregon (you may have heard of it in the sensationalized news). No, I haven't joined the protesters although the protest

Re: RELS Status #RELS
As far as I can see trying to mount that switch setup in a control box with some proper "Buttons" would be a pain. I will cover other options in the near future. Richard

I really need to see what other people are using, and videos of RELS being used to help me make some decisions. What would be a "better option"? I have not found anything/much that would be any
