Re: ELS project/DROs #3D #DRO #RELS

Richard.
I agree, not been a problem yet.
A simple 3:1 ratio, 30T on the spindle, 10 T on the encoder, Charlie has followed the same principles but yet?
to try out. SDI/Sp US side, or Bearings are us UK side to purchase the 2.5 mm pulleys and belts.
I will help with belt lengths if necessary and the basic fixing of the encoder to the machine, Charlie used these
guides I sent via email,? and is well ahead of the game. Well done.
Main motor drive belt to the layshaft and proximity to encoder belt is close, ask Charlie, LOL,?
We have had some intimate discussions about it. LOL.
For all forum members I am currently running version ELS ver6p.and from advise (R) , every change (addition normally) to the firmware I change the?
.ino file name. remeber you need to add in a new directory first then copy the .ino under that.
That means if I have a "Woopsy" during a new amendment,? I can always reload to the previous version of what was working.
been there done that.
All changes are done through Notebook?++? again recommended by Richard, I find it much easier than the arduino menus,
and also all changes are noted and I comment out the old info.
Richard I am sure will go through this protocol as and when needed, and also the Russian spread sheets that do all the update calculations for you.
Enough for today.
?Thanks

Charlie,
I have never yet done tests or calculations to see how the existing
software is affected by high rpm or a lower resolution.
Therefore leaving the software numbers as is for the moment as 1, they
work and 2, are not difficult to achieve, so why change.
