HI John thanks for the info. The best I can tell is that the software for port forwarding runs on the pc. I guess that this software once get inside the router, runs some sort of script that is supposed to create the port forwarding inside the router.? The
router that I 'm using is a Huawei b 315s.? It recieves the signal form the internet service company directly, so I do not have a third item between laptop and router. It is some sort of all in one thing, with wifi, lan ports etc.
I have done it manually like on this (see Below) video except for the DNS part that he recommends to open an account on NO-IP to make this specific router to work on port forwarding. And I think that is where I'm stocked on the configuration. The article that

AAR after many attemps I could not make the ratflector work. I even tried on a normal pc. The program that I bought? did not work for the forward port? task. I? tried it on 2 different routers, and nothing.?
The only way I got??a repeater drats works was if they were on the same router. One as a repeater and the other as a client.?
I think I m gonna pass on this task I've been 3 days in a row and no succes at all.?
my only hope is to wait until the developers of the port forward program tell me something on how to fix their lack of routers on the list.??
and or do the next step to make a subdomain and mmaayyybe it could work. ajjajaaajja

I think the router is the problem. Even though I downloaded the port forward utilities they do not have the exact model. So I ve tried with some other that look similar on the list as per their instructions on the web.?
I even found some instructions on how to do it manually. But it does not seem to work neither.?
I m waitting for them to find a solution to this challenge. As a matter of fact, their app has some open port verification tool. And even with their program it does not seem to work.?
It looks like the port forward app sends a ping to their site if it comes back then I guess that means is working.
?So far no luck!?

HI, I've trying to create a ratflector on a pi. I used the document written? by N7BU that is on files on this group.?
I even got the ping to my gateway. I opened drats and created a localhost:9000 as per intructions to monitor the ratflector. BUt on how to setup the ratflector on the internet, it only says that I have? to check "allow all incoming network connection"? and hit the "on" button .? Then when I run the Drats program on the pi, I see a terminal windows that pops up with some info. But When I do the same with Dratflector and hit "on" the other terminal windows that pops up shows no info at all. What makes me think that the ratflector program is not working. I also jumped to another computer to see If I was able to get to my ratflector so I went to radios and created it whit the ip address that I get from whatismyip.com with port 9000.? So far no lucky running the ratflector on the internet, please if anyone has some other instructions on how to set it up I ll rally appreciate it. Respectfully? Jose David NP3JD |
