I assume that because you have the TNC X connected to the 880 that you are trying to connect to a RMS Packet station via VHF=FM. Am I correct?

Try connecting to the Training reflector. RAT is offline. That is why you

The port speed for the 92AD should be 38400. If you leave it set to the default of 9600 you will encounter the types of issues you have been describing. Patrick (N3TSZ)
