Re: MLX-3 won't update from Gateway. Have to load project via USB?
When uploading the MLX-3's through the gateway with the method I've been using, mine download the updated project the next time I press a button on the remote to wake it up - they don't download the update immediately. Geoff On Mon, Jan 18, 2021 at 10:12 AM John Beasley <john@...> wrote:

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThanks Geoff. ? I will give that a try tonight when I get home. ? tsw-xx70 button toolbar behaviour
was doing some testing to remove the toolbar
discovered that turning off all the buttons removed the toolbar from the screen
deleted the extender, recompiled & reloaded - toolbar still missing - wanted default behaviour back
seems that once you use the toolbar, the panel remembers the last settings sent to it
not the behaviour i expected |

MLX-3 won't update from Gateway. Have to load project via USB?
So I finished my remote upgrades for my house and got both MLX-2's working flawless on the older IC gateway with the rolled back firmware.?
I updated the firmware on the newer IC Gateway and Acquired the MLX-3 but couldn't get the project to load to the MLX-3 from the gateway? I connected up via USB and updated the MLX-3 firmware and then loaded my project and everything works as expected. I have 2 way feedback and to remote works without lag and has a much better range than the MLX-2's. But I still have to connect the USB cable to update the project? Not a deal killer but if there is something i can try to force the remote to grab the project from the gateway? It's not a big deal as I just have the one and once I get it all dialed I doubt I will change the project very often. Thanks in advance. John. |
Re: CP3/CP3N Requires Reboot
You could post the results of those console commands here and we could take a look. Also are you running multiple program slots? The data abort could be coming from another slot (I assumed you were only using one slot so the command I gave is for the main slot). if running other slots then you would run SPLUSTASKS -p:2 (2 is the slot number- replace with other is you have multiple running).?

Re: Autonomic Coverart Issue
Thanks.? I got the issue fixed.? I compacted the flash memory which caused the whole panel to crap out however after initializing it back to defaults and reinstalling the program the coverart is working again.? Not sure if the fix was doing the compacting or the initialize but either way it is working again now.? The panel is actually being controlled by cresnet but is also connected via ethernet and has an IP address.? The DNS servers are blank.? Should they not be?? Just wondering for future issues.? Thanks again. On Sun, Jan 17, 2021 at 8:05 PM ckangis <chris@...> wrote: 1. I assume that you're using ethernet to connect/control the 6L |
Re: Denon AVR - Slider vs Vol Up/Down
Hi Jay R.
If I'm understanding your issue - The Slider is sending Analog values to the AVR and the AVR feedback is re-seeding the Slider with the real-time value from it. With Crestron gear I also have not had issues, and in general I wouldn't suspect the Crosspoints. I have had issues with this kind of thing, with AVR volume feedback as my experience is that they are a bit sluggish in the return timing. I use (2) ABuffers, an Analog one-shot and a NOT. -Your Analog Ramp values go ultimately to the XP/AVR Volume in (as I suspect you have already) -the OUTPUTs of both ABUFs go to the XP/Slider FB -Your Analog Ramp from your slider to the input of ABUF #1, AND to the input of the AOS -Feedback from your AVR volume goes to the input of ABUF #2 -Output for the AOS goes to the enable of ABUF #1 and the input of the NOT -Output of the NOT goes to the enable of ABUF #2 -AOS time parameter should be about 1s The idea is that when you are ramping the volume, The Ramp levels are fed back to your Slider in a very quick fashion so it keeps up. After you stop ramping (~1s) the ABUF #2 gets enabled and passes thru the AVR's actual volume level so your slider is correct. HTH... |
Re: CP3 Ethernet Issues
Hopefully you are not exposing your CP3 ports to the Internet.? If you are, those error are likely being cause by someone overseas hammering your CP3 in an attempt to break in.
If not and no network changes have occurred, then there may be an equipment failure or worst yet someone has hacked into your client and is flooding your network with packets in an attempt to make it reveal it's secrets. |

So need to check with the client if any new device was installed which is flooding the network. Is there a possibility that this kinds of error is caused by the SPLUS modules? |
Re: TPS 6L - Won't hold program
I had to do an initialize of the panel back to factory defaults and then I was able to reload the program. On Sun, Jan 17, 2021 at 12:12 PM ktrdsl23 <ktrdsl23@...> wrote:

TPS 6L - Won't hold program
So I had a different issue with my TPS-6L where coverart wasn't showing.? I tried compacting the internal flash memory it to reclaim some purgeable memory.? After that was done and the device rebooted and then said there was no project.? I just tried reloading the project onto the device and everything looked fine however after the whole project loaded and the device rebooted it once again says that there is no project loaded.I have no issues connecting to it via Toolbox and I ran some of the default tests on the touchpanel and don't see any issues.? Below are the only messages in the error log on toolbox which I think were always there.? Any help would be appreciated.? Thanks. Denon AVR - Slider vs Vol Up/Down
?I figure I'm doing something foolish but could use some advice.? I run all my interfaces through Control Crosspoints and the Source equipment through Equipment crosspoints (many rooms to many sources but only one of each at a time).? I have no issues with the feedback if I have a remote (TSR/MTX) and a panel (TSW or Phone App with analog sliders) using a swamp but with my Denon AVR's I get a feedback loop that takes a minute or two to settle. Things work fine using the vol +/- buttons and the feedback, but when I go to a panel select a Denon room the volume starts jumping (does not do this on SWAMP rooms).
I suspect the Control - Equipment connection drives the feedback out of sync and causes a loop while it catches up but I'm not sure.? I've played around with buffers to try and stabilize this but they induce other problems.? I think I've tried forcing refreshes on the crosspoints as well but in all honesty I've lost track of all the things I've done. Is there a simple way around this?? The next thing I'm thinking is to use a buffer on the interface side that receives the raw output of the denon analog vol bypassing the crosspoints and when enabled pushes that to the feedback but it seems I'm probably missing something, in a standalone theater with dedicated panels and remotes this method works.? I tend to use different names for the volume similar to lighting Volume Bar An FB / Volume Bar Set Level.? I've wrapped myself around the axle on this one so much that I'm dizzy and I've yet to master the Denon IP modules between AVR Connected/ UI Denon and the actual HW modules so maybe I have a setting wrong there too?? Demo program hasn't helped much either.? I've learned to live with this, but the wife is now annoyed with it so it must be fixed... Thanks |
Re: CP3 Ethernet Issues
We saw this issue occur in a system where we had 4 Shure MXA910 Dante ceiling mic arrays and a QSC Core110f DSP.? We had to configure IGMP snooping and multicast forwarding on the managed switch port that the CP3 was connected to or it would shut off the LAN port.
