Re: SIP Intercom

Thanks for that info.

?

As far as I know there are about 20 touch panels and a Barix or two at the gate(s).? I am under the impression that at this count, the RAVA SIP functionality will work without any additional hardware such as a SIP server.? If that is incorrect it would be good to know.

I'd recommend Avlinkpro.? They can build custom SIP servers for any situation.

Re: TSW-752 screen dead

I saw such a state on some panels at different systems.

In all cases it was the SD-Card. First two panels we did a RMA but the last 2-3 panels
I asked TB to send us the cards and changed them onsite. This is pretty easy for the?
TSW-xx52 panels because you can access the card pretty easy at the back.

You¡¯ve already done the network and control settings for the player but just to make sure, there is a setting called ¡°remote start¡± that needs to be turned on. ?It is at the very top of page 26 in the manual.

Re: Processors Losing IP table

We've had it happen on a dozen different finished projects now, different processors and multiple times in our office test processors.? Even jobs that have been done for eight months and keep running, when the processor loses power, the IP table is gone.?

Crestron has blamed custom modules (we don't use many of them and none of them use sockets, console or anything IP related) and says they need to be recompiled with the latest databases etc, but even when the modules are recompiled the IP Table still disappears, and the problem happens even with eight month old projects before a bulk of the silliness began.

This is turning into quite a maintenance nightmare and Crestron says in our case they don't know anything about it. If it happens to you, please squawk and open a case with TB so they know it's a problem.

Re: TSW-752 screen dead

Hi Lincoln.

Nothing on wireshark.
RMA then.
Thank you!

Re: Simplwindows V4.14.3x - super slow-mo F9 #simplwindows

For what it¡¯s worth I¡¯ve noticed doing things like ¡°Open All Symbols¡± after an F2 on my laptop ¨C or even compiling a moderately intensive program ¨C takes a massive performance hit when I¡¯m running on battery vs. AC (like F2 -> Open All on a signal going 40 places is virtually instantaneous on AC but can take >15 seconds on battery)

?

I know I could almost certainly improve this performance by adjusting the power/performance settings in Windows ¨C in my case battery life when running on battery is more important to me so I haven¡¯t touched it, especially given how rarely I¡¯m doing something like F2->Open Allx40 on battery, but if this is a concern might be something to look at.

Interesting, I haven't seen any major change with this.
The only thing that I see is if you're F9'ing a TP with lots of SG extenders, or a folder with many modules, symbols, signals, I do see the process clicking away, though I don't see the actual elements visible in the program view, just the spinner and a clicking of it down/right.
BUT, I've seen this behavior since at least 4.11.06.
Doing F9 on a folder with only a few items resolves instantly...

Re: TSW-752 screen dead

IME this is a common failure mode that means the panel is dead dead. You could try swapping the MMC with a known working one just in case the MMC is the issue but likely will need to go back home and just as likely will be either unreparable due to the age or cost to repair will make it not reasonable to repair.

?

On the off chance that it is just a display issue you could wire it directly to a laptop (with a POE injector in the middle but no other devices hubs/switches) and watch wireshark to see if it announces itself or gives any revealing ARPs

Subject: [crestron] TSW-752 screen dead

Hi guys.
I have a tsw752 on a boat that suddenly stopped working. I have it home now for testing.
Screen is black, i cannot see its backlight even.
But the lan port leds light up and blink as usual.
I can't remember its IP since it was a static one and is not set in the vtz nor the smw, so searched for the obvious ranges but nothing (192.168.0.x 1.x etc).
Is there anything i should be trying before sending it to Crestron?

Thanks.

Re: Denon AVR - Slider vs Vol Up/Down

Glad you solved it!

Re: Denon AVR - Slider vs Vol Up/Down

Your approach seems to have solved it, thanks.? I also found an additional buffer I had on the control side which prolonged the bounce, once I removed that things are smooth.

Simplwindows V4.14.3x - super slow-mo F9 #simplwindows

I put off updating Crestron sw for as long as I can. I've been running 4.11 for many years now it seems.
However Sonos issues have forced me to update to 4.14.

F9 is now painful - It opens every symbol in detail view while it does it's thing
How does Crestron manage to break as much as they seem to fix?

I tried un-checking 'Highlight symbol in the Program View at edit in Detail View' in a vain attempt that it might fix it - it did not.
