If that's the case, you should be able to forward those modules to Crestron along with an explanation of the issue. If the author/company is truly no longer around, Crestron should be able to provide you with unlocked versions.

software, or PC. Send me an archive of the program with the old processor in it, then I'll first make sure I can compile that, before adding the new processor and compiling it again. While you're at it, let me know what software versions you're using. The easiest way is to click Help/About in Simpl, then click Copy To Clipboard. Finally, take a screenshot of the error message you're getting when you try to compile it. Have you talked to anyone at TB about it? Okay, I just opened a QM-RMC program with several encrypted Simpl and Simpl+ modules, and replaced the processor with a PMC3-XP (there's no such thing as a "PMC2+-XP"). Saved the new program and it compiled fine, with no errors.

Re: Bell 9241 PVR - IR driver required (remote is IR/UHF)
OK, I have the solution here. By default the remotes for these Bell PVR's are set to UHF (Pro), and to change it over to IR is something they don't care to make obvious, but if you ever run into this then follow these steps.
toggle quoted message
Show quoted text
1) Remove the remote's battery cover. 2) With the remote face-up, pull down on the oval-shaped portion below the Bell logo. This is the key. You might have to push a fingernail along the curved crease below the logo to loosen the key. Remove the key by grasping at the bottom, and pull it straight out. 3) One side of the key is coloured silver (UHF), the other side is black (IR). To operate the remote in IR mode, simply reinsert the key black-side up. 4) Replace the battery cover. "sigh"....... why do the simplest of things end up taking the longest to do!?!?! --- In Crestron@..., "Brendan McAlpine" <brendan@...> wrote:

TV One Option connection
mjrtoo2000
Has anyone worked with a TV One scaler (in this case a C2-2355a) connected via the option cable to an S2-105PCA? If so, can you confirm that if you set the output of the C2 to any RGB input 1) Does it automatically set the S2 to the input you select? 2) Does it automatically switch the C2 to the RGB input?
Just getting the framework together for a system and the protocol/documentation is confusing to me. Thanks, Matt |

Re: Brute-force parsing of an XML stream ? (cc128 Current Cost)

We have that device in here in Australia where it's called WattsClever. I wrote a module that parses the stream using nothing but SIMPL. Gather on 47d ("/"). Use an STOA for each XML tag that you want to read then convert the ASCII characters to analogs using your choice of method as taught in Intermediate class... use an ARAM to store the analogs for further processing. The only complication is the yearly value which has more than 5 digits (bigger than a 16-bit analog). Enjoy - maybe it'll help to get people to turn the oven off when they don't need it... ;-) Phil. --- In Crestron@..., "Chip" <cfm@...> wrote:

As long as your buffer is big enough to accommodate the larger messages, and as long as you're keying your parsing routine to run after seeing a "</msg>" tag, I'm not seeing where there would be a problem, no?
