Re: Dish Network Hopper2000
Yes, this is a new box from EchoStar, . Whole new remote and interface. It's always something to screw things up. The setup says it can do both IR and UHF. No unit codes like the old ones. Just says IR enable and disable in the menu. I'll give them a call and see what they can do for us and let you all know. I'm sure I'm not the only one out there who will be needing the info soon.

If you press menu, menu on the dish remote. Does it have an IR address? Maybe default is not address 1. I have driver for 1,3,and,5 if that helps.

Am I the only one that's complaining about the following: why is Crestron's marketing approach so product-driven? Most of their marketing appears to be aimed at resellers instead of consumers. Control4 (sorry for that) does target their consumers directly with video's, commercials etc. that explain what their products can mean in their daily life. Just curious, don't you guys miss that while marketing your products? I might of course have missed the consumer-targeted marketing material, if so, please direct me to it.

I am trying to use the Event scheduler 2 v1.2.0 in my simpl program, the processor is a DIN-AP2, I want to use the internal flash memory ( not the CF card ) and I have a problem to enter the correct filename and path ....
I use a serial send to fill the serial input of my Crestron scheduler filename input, but probably I've done something wrong in the way to write it in my serial send...
trough the toolbox file manager I see the Internal flash with all the folders, as far I know the Internal flash have to be named : NVRAM so my filename string was : \\NVRAM\scheduler.dat and this is not working I've got an aerror from simpl debugger ERROR : cannot create/open file \NVRAM\scheduler.dat for write - Error code : 3004
any help would be great thank you :)

BRG Precision timers / Tiger Timer
I'm controlling this from Crestron and it's all working fine as far as setting start/end/warning times, starting and resetting times etc. But I'm hoping someone might be able to help with the actual setup of the action of the timer per my customers request. I have it almost there, but can't get one part, I've tried so many modes that my head is spinning.
The customer wants the following.
Enter start time and countdown to zero, with the warning light green to start, yellow at x time, and red when zero. When at zero, the timer automatically reverses direction into a count up timer, this is all working perfectly. The part that isn't working is that when it reverses direction, the warning light turn green again, I would like ut to stay red to signifiy that you are now over your time limit by the duration shown on the timer.
An alternative would be to have the display flash when it reverses direction and begins counting up, and then the warning indicator could stay green.
Not sure if anyone here has worked that in depth with the timer, the timer guru at BRG is gone until Monday/Tuesday and of course I need this yesterday.

The "overall solution" depends on the integrator, so Crestron is intentionally vague and leaves most of the marketing of SPECIFIC functionality up to the dealers.

My personal cool thought - have a page flip effect like when changing screens on the iphone/ipad (left/Right gesture) that as you flips changes pages/sub pages, and when the user stops on a particular page, it activates/routes the video to the display.
Anyways, if I am missing something, please let me know.
Also, does anyone know if there is a way to access the built in keyboard, rather than having to create one myself. I would love to Skin an P-IpodV Doc search page to look like you were browsing your own iDevice.

Re: Trying to migrate away from D3 for lighting.
I can see your point about D3 not providing the best in VTPro integration. To be honest, I don't usually land touchpanels on the lighting system side of things. I typically use D3 like brianrcs explained, modules for custom logic and separate processors.
