Re: Alternative to high-end automation
If a touchscreen is not required, you could go for the HR-310 which is much cheaper. And i?d also go for a used RMC3 as it was already suggested by somebody else. Cheers, Thorsten Von:

Re: Alternative to high-end automation
Thanks all for the quick responses. This is for older folks that would require a handheld remote over an ipad or any other flat surface interface. May just need to have them bite the bullet for a RMC4

Re: Big Ass Fan integration
I haven't read the entire Hubitat thread, but if the fans can be controlled by Hubitat, Jay Basen's Hubitat modules could probably be used to control them from Crestron.

I?m both a Crestron and Control4 and don?t find the Control4 significantly cheaper compared to Crestron. Programming of C4 is much simpler than SIMPL, it?s more configuring than programming and the

Re: Alternative to high-end automation
AFAIK any control system that can do IP and serial communications is going to be sold by a dealer. A used 3-series processor and an HR-150 would be a more budget friendly solution. Ryan Cunningham

Its for XIO Cloud. Seems to generate unneeded errors so if youre not using it turn it off (HYDROGENENABLE OFF)

Re: Big Ass Fan integration
Here is some more info about BAF changing the Haiku fans to the i6 protocol: https://github.com/home-assistant/core/issues/69370 mentioning, at least for now, a way to downgrade firmware

Re: Big Ass Fan integration
Oh no, that's a bit of a disaster. The end of that thread on the hubitat forum indicates the change to the BAF app did change the integration. I'm not finding much about how they are controlled now.
