MC3 Firmware
Just thought this was pretty funny.? Updating firmware on an MC3 (I know, yikes) so went to the mothership site to download the most recent version.
Search:? "MC3".? No results found for MC3. Okay.? Search:? "MC3" Enter.? Results 234. Page 6.? Page 6 is where the MC3 is.? Behind 6 pages of lighting keypads and other knick knacks. They are literally so embarrassed of this product they buried it in the search.? Not that I really blame em.? :D |
Sonos Soundbar issues
Recently had to upgrade the modules for the Sonos in a program that stopped working completely.
I am using the Sonos System 3.1.1, Sonos Device Module 3.2.0, and the Sonos Grouping Module 3.1.1 I show that the system initializes, but never goes online using debugger.? Is there a better way to see exactly what is going on with the Sonos System Module? I have enabled debug mode on the Sonos System 3.1.1 module, but the output of debugger does not change, and the help on the module does not say where the? debug mode writes its log.? |
Re: Teamviewer and SIMPL Debugger
Might I suggest DWService.net as a suitable replacement?
I've been using it for several years and I'll NEVER go back to TeamViewer or similar. I'll say that the UI is pretty spartan, by comparison, but it works and works well once you "get it" and there isn't much to "get". Give it a shot and if you have any questions, give me a shout. |
Re: VC4 test environment suggestions
you will need to make sure you modify the snmpd.conf file with the root pw of you set up when you installed AlmaLinux.
I run it on a VM. I have a clone of the AlamaLinux VM without VC4 installed then another version where I install VC4 fresh. It is kind of a pain in the ass but when the trial runs out i just delete the VM and clone the clone and do a fresh install. Keeps me sharp on Linux.? We aren't using VC4 much now since hardware processors are more readily available but I have a few clients who have their one hardware and we have stood up VC4 across their different offices nationwide. |

Re: Teamviewer and SIMPL Debugger
Harry, I don't think it's related to being on a different network, as this certainly was not the case in my test yesterday.
ckangis, I'm going to have to look at some of the other options out there, didn't realize that there's comparable solutions for half the price. Re: Kaleidescape Control From Crestron Home
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi, We?re currently working on a project with Kaleidescape and CH involved. The CH driver for Kaleidescape is very limited. Actually, it?s just an RC emulation. If you want to do more, you need to add custom programming on a separate controller. ? HTH, Thorsten ? ? Von: [email protected] <[email protected]> Im Auftrag von Mark via groups.io ? Has anyone worked with the newer Strato C players? More specifically, we were hoping to automate the kaleidescape by calling up a script however I am not seeing that an as option in programming. |
Re: Teamviewer and SIMPL Debugger
I haven't seen a particular issue with Dbug and TV (DBug has sucked without TV for a while now...See another thread for Nathan's Debugger!)
I just got rid of TeamViewer as I have found that the price, some latency issues and being ultimately forced to use the 'new' UI interface, which I do not like, greatly reduced TV's earlier value... I'm using SplashTop right now and it seems to be pretty comparable at less than half the price. |
Re: Teamviewer and SIMPL Debugger
If they are using a different network to connect to the internet than the one to the devices, it is likely due to routing priority or IP settings error. The connection to the device needs to have a higher priority (lower number) than the connection to the internet. That or your device network¡¯s IP settings should not have a default gate set.

Teamviewer and SIMPL Debugger
Has anyone experienced issues running debugger on a remote pc through TeamViewer? I connect to a ton of programmer and tech PC's with TeamViewer to troubleshoot programs with debugger (we're a CSP shop). I've come to the conclusion that some, I'd say half, pc's/laptops that I connect to have a REALLY hard time syncing debugger. It takes minutes to sync and is generally super sluggish. When not connected through TeamViewer the same pc works great and syncs almost instantly. I haven't figured out a rhyme or reason yet but was hoping someone might have a clue.

Re: Spectrum /Comcast Zumo streaming box
¿ªÔÆÌåÓý
I would appreciate the IR file for sure. I'm going to be digging into this over the weekend.
TIA

I just put 5 of these in for a client yesterday. 2 of them are being replaced by spectrum because they wouldn¡¯t grab an IP address.? ? I was able to get IR control working for them, with the unit powered off the remote will output IR and you can learn those codes. If the unit is powered on the remote uses RF and will not output any IR. I can dig up the IR file and post that last today if you want it.? |
