Re: Alert! concerning the PC-350V power controllers
Just a follow-up. Today I updated my PC-350V's with the latest/new FW to resolve (Hopefully!) the issue noted in this thread.
Obviously its too early to tell how things will go, but initial tests seem good. The one notable item was that when I updated the FW, the outlets DID NOT cycle, so that was a pleasant surprise!!! hopefully this is part of their design, as I HATE when PDUs cycle their outlets with updates... |
DM-NVX-E30 / D30 and Dolby Atmos
I have been unable to get Dolby Atmos to work from an Apple TV using NVX encoders / decoders.? Just updated NVX firmware to 7.0.? I've tested with both a McIntosh MX-180 and a Yamaha CX-A5200 Preamp.? I've tried several different EDIDs which don't seem to work.? The issue is no audio passes at all to the AVR.? I'm wondering what anyone else's experiences are with this? What we've had to run Apple TV directly to the AVR then AVR HDMI Out to the NVX Encoder so our display can get video. |
Re: Crestron Home BACnet HVAC
I had some issues with YABE, only one CMNgw at id 64, but yet not discovering, etc.
I tried with also with BDT (bacnet discovery tool), and it reported the units fine. It didn't report the information we need in a useful manner to me, but yet it helped me diagnose.? In the end, and can't remember why, yabe worked. |
Re: CCDs and NVRAM
SIMPL+ NVRAM allocation was introduced in CCD Disp Eth v1.14. SIMPL compiler calls out max NVRAM allocation for the program slot after adding 20-something CCD Disp Eth v1.14+ instances. The Driver team is working to utilize SIMPL# (instead of SIMPL+) for holding the persistent data to correct this behavior. |
CCDs and NVRAM
Learned a valuable less today.? I am using the Sony IP CCD modules for both TV and Receivers.? Apparently they are NVRAM hungry.? Each CCD allocates about 10KB of NVRAM.? I am just updating a program with 24 rooms and each room is mostly duplicated to make it easy to expand.? First time every that I got the warning that my program has exceeded the allotted NVRAM of a processor, PRO4 fyi.? Now to go back through and comment out the CCD's I don't need.

Re: Wake On LAN (WOL) Help!
Thanks for all the advice and suggestions!?
I ended up doing what Dave H suggested (one of his suggestions) and made my magic packet string in Notepad and copied/pasted into an SIO. I had to put a 1 on my UDP symbol to get it to work. I'm not sure if leaving the UDP module latched on is "best practices" but it works. Also, since the TV is on the DMPS3 control subnet I used 172.22.255.255 as the broadcast address in the UDP symbol. I'm having rock solid success with CEC on projects ?but this TV is feed from a Kramer HDMI DA which only passes CEC to the first output. Because of that I could not uses CEC on this one TV out of five. ?It was a lot of trial and error and lessons learned on using the right hardware to avoid this in the future. Best, David? |
Crestron Home BACnet HVAC
Cool automation and Crestron Home BACnet, YABE
We have 1 CoolinkBridge ID 64 showing a HVAC system detailed BACnet data for Thermostat - operation is good in Crestron home? YABE show all BACnet info for this device ID64. But when we added more CoolinkBridge Unit ID 65 and 66 for HVAC system 2 and 3 we get no detailed BACNet information from YABE just the device on the tree - 65 and 66 come online as devices in HOME but without detailed BACnet we can not adjustment points. Dose the DAIKIN HVAC only operate with ID 64 with CoolinkBridge? Is YABE maybe not able to see device details Anyone with some information would be awesome - at a loss with this one. Mark G |
Re: Wireless radiator valves (UK project)
I should also add that the Shelly TRV can be fully controlled through the Shelly app. Thanks? Jay On Wed, May 11, 2022 at 7:00 AM jbasen via <jay.m.basen=[email protected]> wrote:

Re: Wireless radiator valves (UK project)
Correct. All Shelly devices communicate directly over WiFi so they don¡¯t require a hub And, the Shelly drivers I¡¯ve written will run on either a 3 or 4 series processor. All the source code is also included on my GitHub so if there is a feature of the device I haven¡¯t included in the driver you can simply add it yourself? Enjoy? QSX Keypad Buttons Presses
Hi, first time doing Lutron QSX...I have the HomeWorks QSX v1.1 module from the Application Marketplace and I do not see a way to receive button presses into Crestron from a Lutron keypad. I want to know if someone pressed, double tapped, held, and released a button on a Lutron keypad. Is there a way to do this using this set up modules or is there another way?

Re: Wireless radiator valves (UK project)
Hi Jay,
many thanks for the info! No, the TRV referred to wasn't a Shelly one, it was old school mechanical with a capilliary tube! I have downloaded your demo files, and have contacted the supplier to see if they will ship to the UK (Brexit having made EU supply of all simple things much more complicated!!). Looking at the program, and the Shelly website, I am guessing all I need are the TRVs, a 3/4 Series processor, and decent WiFi coverage. No third party hubs/controllers/etc. ? |
Re: Samsung IP control with CCD
? /g/crestron/message/245762? I downloaded the QN55LST7TAFXZC driver and inspected the UserAttributes (below) as described in OLH 1000527. UA1 = Device Settings = To configure for IP control, use TV remote and press Home button, navigate to Settings > General > Network > Expert Settings, turn on \"Power On with Mobile\" and enable \"IP Remote\" settings. Then follow Enable Instructions |
