My go to was Bernard Condensed. Could fit more letters on a button at
a legible font size. On Tue, 7 May 2013 08:16:57 -0600, Heath Volmer <hvolmer@...> wrote: I've used Tahoma almost exclusively on all of those older panels and it always looked decent. |

ultimate fix was a firmware update. I've done several 4SM's and SMD's since then and haven't seen it, so I'd assume reasonably recent firmware "should" be okay. --- On Tuesday, May 07, 2013 at 9:37 AM, Jesus wrote: |

Are you getting nostalgic, working on a simple old panel? On May 7, 2013, at 7:45 AM, Lincoln King-Cliby <lincoln@...> wrote:

Re: Hard Buttons on TMPC-4SMD Cause Runaway Volume Issues
Not sure it applies here, but I had same issue with TSW-750 panel.
Had to sample the analog for the volume bar to reduce traffic back to the panel. Before that, up/down hardkeys for volume would run away as if the release was not detected. Anti-Aliased helps, but not much. The only way I've gotten text to look better is to add it to the button graphic in Photoshop. It looks nice and crisp then, but talk about a lot of work... TB --- In Crestron@..., "matt_rasmussen_2000" <mjrtoo@...> wrote:

Smartboard USB control over DM USB-HID
Can I use the USB-HID ports on the DM-RMC-Scaler and DM 8x8 input cards to send the Smartboard control to and from the pc.
Is the Smartboard considered an HID device? The PC is located in a cabinet with the DM8x8 and the Smartboard is located on an adjacent wall about 30' away Thanks for any info you may have. |
Re: MCE controller
Jordan Lyaskov
It is very simple..?
Works only with windows OS. It represents only windows buttons and discrete commands. Once the controller is intalled to the server, it?s good to be set up to start everytime when the OS has been started. On the crestron part is needed a TCP/IP client (static IP of the server and port 5150) and a SIO. e.g. simple commands : VK_DOWN\x0D VK_UP\x0D Note: the "enter" button is "VK_RETURN\x0D" .. it took me a while to find it. ________________________________ From: stefuel2 <stefuel@...> To: Crestron@... I have a recenty taken out of service 10 bay server that I'm going to try and convert into a media server. It's my understanding that MCE gets installed on the server and listens for commands sent over the ethernet? I've never tried controlling a PC and this is more of a fun/learning project then anything else. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

Finally got the "protocol" -- it's a semi-accurate, semi-complete
description of two HTTP requests; one to control the outlets, and one to get status. A few minutes with Wireshark while using the web interface will get you better information on more commands.
