Already try do clear simpl file and disconect all cables but no success.
I can connect to PRO2 via RS232 or LAN.

My go to was Bernard Condensed. Could fit more letters on a button at
a legible font size.

Are you getting nostalgic, working on a simple old panel?

I also ran into this issue a couple of years ago. A VLAN helped some, but the
ultimate fix was a firmware update. I've done several 4SM's and SMD's since
then and haven't seen it, so I'd assume reasonably recent firmware "should" be
okay.

Vlan apparently fixed all.

Re: Hard Buttons on TMPC-4SMD Cause Runaway Volume Issues

Not sure it applies here, but I had same issue with TSW-750 panel.
Had to sample the analog for the volume bar to reduce traffic back to the panel. Before that, up/down hardkeys for volume would run away as if the release was not detected.

Yeah, I'm not going to be doing that. :)

Anti-Aliased helps, but not much. The only way I've gotten text to look better is to add it to the button graphic in Photoshop. It looks nice and crisp then, but talk about a lot of work...

Setting x2 in the view helps, but it's still hard to layout that way. I've been using just Arial text with the font even set below the choices and still looks crappy.

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of, oh well, maybe they'll buy a new touch panel....

You can't compare it to clarity of modern panels or IPADs, will never come close.
Have to do quite a few upgrades with them UGH recently.
Arial Bold seems to be about the best you can do.

Anyone out there willing to help a fellow member in looking into the crestron SDK. I went to their website had grabbed the .net sdk but it is incompatible with the visual studio 2010. Any help would be apriciated. I am looking if there is a newer version.

Thanks,

Gary

Re: Smartboard USB control over DM USB-HID

No, It's not compatible with HID Device. You need to have an usb extender
who is compatible with usb 1.1 or higher.

Is the Smartboard considered an HID device?

The PC is located in a cabinet with the DM8x8 and the Smartboard is

Thanks for any info you may have.

Re: MCE controller

Jordan Lyaskov

It is very simple..?
Works only with windows OS. It represents only windows buttons and discrete commands.
Once the controller is intalled to the server, it?s good to be set up to start everytime when the OS has been started.
On the crestron part is needed a TCP/IP client (static IP of the server and port 5150) and a SIO.

e.g. simple commands :
VK_DOWN\x0D

VK_UP\x0D

Note: the "enter" button is "VK_RETURN\x0D" .. it took me a while to find it.

looking for a quick and dirty explanation of how this works. I have a recenty taken out of service 10 bay server that I'm going to try and convert into a media server. It's my understanding that MCE gets installed on the server and listens for commands sent over the ethernet?
I've never tried controlling a PC and this is more of a fun/learning project then anything else.

Finally got the "protocol" -- it's a semi-accurate, semi-complete
description of two HTTP requests; one to control the outlets, and one
to get status.

A few minutes with Wireshark while using the web interface will get
you better information on more commands.

I just noticed there was firmware in February, and I think I messed around with this before

a call in to see if there's a newer version than what I have.
