It is very simple..?
Works only with windows OS. It represents only windows buttons and discrete commands.
Once the controller is intalled to the server, it?s good to be set up to start everytime when the OS has been started.
On the crestron part is needed a TCP/IP client (static IP of the server and port 5150) and a SIO.
e.g. simple commands :
VK_DOWN\x0D
VK_UP\x0D
Note: the "enter" button is "VK_RETURN\x0D" .. it took me a while to find it.

Subject: [Crestron] MCE controller
?
looking for a quick and dirty explanation of how this works. I have a recenty taken out of service 10 bay server that I'm going to try and convert into a media server. It's my understanding that MCE gets installed on the server and listens for commands sent over the ethernet?
I've never tried controlling a PC and this is more of a fun/learning project then anything else.
