Re: Reporting in from InfoComm
I don't generally have problems with Toolbox but there was the one case where I got the Viewport COM Server up to 1,198,856K of memory usage trying to use Toolbox with DM Tool on a 32x32. Actually

6L IP working as touchpanel but no comms to toolbox
I have a weird one. As per subject the 6L is operating the control system fine but I cannot connect to it using it's IP address in toolbox. Indirect works fine. Anyone seen this and is there a fix?

Re: Document Camera with RS232
Hi Andy, I just finished creating the module for the document camera PS750. Since I don't have this unit with me to test, I was wondering if I can compare my results with yours. I want to compare my

My brain exploded a little bit when they outright mentioned working on Crestron integration with this already. I really really really really hope I get to play with something like this someday...soon.

Re: Reporting in from InfoComm
How about the MLX3? You assume they are working on fixing Toolbox? It's been broken since day one. I've come to accept that Toolbox is one of those programs that, um, requires regular restarts. It

Re: Reporting in from InfoComm
I'm not sure if that's how it worked out for AMX when they added Java support several years back. I don't know if they expected it to be the holy grail of coding solutions, but I don't believe it came

Yeah, they pretty much say the same thing every year. We were all supposed to be shaking in our boots when System Builder was being released. - LOL

Re: Reporting in from InfoComm
So when is this going to happen? They seem to have enough work ahead of them just getting toolbox working and happy. It sure will be nice having X-Panels be browser agnostic... I'm not scared of IT

Re: Reporting in from InfoComm
Although I haven't personally witnessed any evidence of this, it's actually been said for probably the last ten or 15 years - since the App Builder days... :-)

"...the field of "Crestron" programmers is about to be awash in IT kids that have no real grasp on AV or overall custom UI's." Based on what I've seen from rescue jobs that is already the case today

That's actually the opposite of the issue the OP had. What you are describing is normal operation.

Re: TCP/IP Client Port 80 Connection failed
I set up a program with a SIMPL TCP/IP client configured for yahoo.com & port 80 - this is what I got: <https://www.dropbox.com/s/whv5orkc384d27n/yahootcpdebug.JPG> It's almost like your controller is

Re: How do you cut fiber?
I use a nice pair of Wiha diagonal cutters. They work great. They make one clean cut, where my Klein cutters take a few passes. http://www.wihatools.com/300seri/328_cutters.htm [Non-text portions of

Computer "time" was expensive and needed to be scheduled weeks in advance. Punch cards had to be punched and sorted... ;-). Careful programming was a necessity. What a difference 25 years makes! It

Re: TCP/IP Client Port 80 Connection failed
Not sure what you're trying to get at yahoo.com, but there's no service at that address listening on port 80, which is why you get the "connection failed" status of 3. - Chip
