Re: Cross Point connected to multiple Equipment
You could always teach the wife to fix it :)

Very early in my relationship with my girlfriend she learned what SIMPLWindows was and basic digital logic (she wanted to know what I did all day so...) She no longer thinks my house hates her (though she still thinks it's semi-sentient) and has never actually used SIMPL Windows but if there was a bug that annoyed her enough I'm sure it would get fixed. SIMPL+ is still off in the horizon but... I'm using SB. I tried using inputs 1-4 but it didn't work. I'm using the cresnet bus to power the devices. I know the programming is good, because if I short manually the ports, lights turn on. I had done something similar at another client's house. It was with a PAC2 (albeit in D3). Only difference I see is that the PAC2 has versiports and in the GLS-OIR-C-450 manual, it specifically requires versiports. I'm thinking I need a relay that would convert the output of the GLS-OIR-C-450 to a dry contact. Or just use some GLS-SIM. Unless someone has another idea! --- In Crestron@..., Tray Schaeffer <trayschaeffer@...> wrote:

Re: AES & GLS-OIR-C-450
I know D3 allows a generic digital input (look under devices). Tie that to the AES digital input and it should work.
Make sure you have a power supply for the sensor. Typically, the GLS-SIM provides sensor power, since there is no SIM you may need to get another source of power to the sensor. Re: RUNCO LS-5 PROJECTOR 232
There is a space between ky and the command, then a period between the command and the function. Then a character return (\r) after each command.
Power OFF = ky pow.off Power ON = ky pow.on Input 1 = ky src.1 Aspect = ky asp.sw then use \r in the delimiter area -Kevin Keenan On Apr 23, 2012, at 10:49 AM, pearce.bruce wrote: Hi All [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |
AES & GLS-OIR-C-450
georgeskhs
Hi all,
I have a client with a AES (programmed in SB). He now wants to add motion sensors. My question to you is : Will the GLS-OIR-C-450 work with the AES? The AES doesn't have versiports and the GLS-OIR-C-450 requires one. If not, would there be a cheaper solution that adding GLS-SIM modules? Thanks. |
Re: RUNCO LS-5 PROJECTOR 232
I posted a module for the LS-3/5 in the files section a few years back.

Hi All
Im on site and trying to get this projector to work The manual gives me an example of ky <keyname>[CR] ky for key commands or op for operation commands so im sending POWOFF\x0a\x0d i get a response but not the right one and the projector refuses to work The manual im reading from is any ideas would be great Bruce |
Re: Cross Point connected to multiple Equipment
That's why a lot of use multiple crosspoint connect symbols, normally one for each touch panel, that way you just leave the panel connect and change equipment. Although, disconnect all disconnects EVERY symbol, just not the one you pulse it on. Thus the warning, I believe.

Re: Sort of OT: Seamless WiFi roaming?
This wasn't the virtual cell system that they sell, but a micro cell system? I didn't realize they had a microcell system with a controller available. Or maybe I'm confused as to how the virtual cell system would show up on a wifi scan.

Sounds like you are programming for an "enhanced" interrogation area - keep them terrorists of kilter with weird light schedules.

Re: Serial control using a USB port

I have the radio shack one and the keyspan. I like the keyspan more, but the radio shack one comes with a 6 foot cord and can mate directly to most devices, which makes it ideal for most setups when you just need to set up the ethernet.

For doing debug via serial, use the keyspan. The radio shack one does not like to have large amounts of data passing through it all the time. Also, you may want to look into the Crestron usb ir learner and the Engo one. I have not tried either, but have heard nothing bad about the Engo one. --- In Crestron@..., "mm24all" <martinp@...> wrote:

I've put in a Pakedge microcell network with 3 waps (not a huge system, I'll admit), but it's incredibly stable. I can download a file continuously while walking from corner to corner of the place with some pretty bad interference from neighboring wifi. I haven't heard a single complaint about iPad connections, but I didn't do the crestron program there, just the network. I assume it's pretty good based on my laptop testing.

You set it up via the controller once, but yes, the waps show up on different channels with the same SSID if you do a wifi scan. I've also seen some Netgear stuff advertise wireless management and they have a controller to go with it, but I can only imagine the pita the setup might be. The Pakedge setup is relatively simple and their tech support is really good. --- In Crestron@..., "floyd1212" <floyd1212@...> wrote:

Re: Multiple running clocks and dates in the same system.
Yes, use S+ to modify the TOD string sent to any room not using local time/date.
I’ve done this and it works great. Tray == From: javiermazon_com Sent: Monday, April 23, 2012 7:39 AM To: Crestron@... Subject: [Crestron] Multiple running clocks and dates in the same system. Hi! I'm programming a system that has some special needs. User need to be able to simulate light scenarios of different GPS positions and dates. User must be able to configure the conditions: -GPS coordinates -Time from 0-100% of Sunrise and from 100%to0% of Sunset -Date of simulation. For example: -One room could be running lights emulating the sun in YEMEN in 3rd august, calculating the sunrise and sunset for that GPS coordinates and that date. -While another room could be running lights emulation sun in South Italy on 3th september. There are 16 different spaces. I can perform almost all the tasks with timers, pasts, offsets and astronomical clock... but I've not a clear way of programming two spaces running at different dates just using one TOD$. I may create a simpl+ module that modifies TOD$ creating several TOD$s based on days/months delay... any better idea? It's my only clue for the moment. Thanks for your advices ;) [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

use smcFanControl on the mac and crank the fans up to get rid of the heat.
run "Repair Disk Permissions" using Disk Utility on the mac, you would be surprised at the weird problems that will fix. On Fri, Apr 20, 2012 at 10:42 AM, oldspunky <paul@...>wrote: ** [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

I was about to call hogwash on that, but as it turns out, my disconnect_all actually connects to DiscFromC. I find that one very handy, and probably the one he wants. I find that much easier than trying to remember which device was connected previously.

C2N-TFM Showing up as "UNSUPPORTED DEVICE"
I am setting up the network on a system I'm about to upload to. Running through the devices when discovering, it pulls up an error for the C2N-TFM. It says "Unsupported Device". It will let me keep going, but any idea what this means?
The processor is a CP2E and I am programming this system in SB. |
