I have the radio shack one and the keyspan. I like the keyspan more, but the radio shack one comes with a 6 foot cord and can mate directly to most devices, which makes it ideal for most setups when you just need to set up the ethernet.
For doing debug via serial, use the keyspan. The radio shack one does not like to have large amounts of data passing through it all the time.
Also, you may want to look into the Crestron usb ir learner and the Engo one. I have not tried either, but have heard nothing bad about the Engo one.
