Re: DM-NVX-360 Freezing / Going offline

Are you on the latest firmware?

I have had 2-3 NVX units on campus running the latest firmware that appearently just stopped working, they are online with the processor etc.
Kind of "lights are on but nobody home".

One of them was factory reset and came back to life, the others needed a reboot.
A vague feeling of fw issue, but haven't been able to prove it or dig any deeper.

Re: Device TCP/IP Server on a RMC3

Not with a Normal TCP server symbol, but should be doable with a C# server socket.

Device TCP/IP Server on a RMC3

Is there a workaround for the limitation of a single connection at time to a TCP/IP Server located on a RMC3 that can be accessed by several other processors? Example Processor A enables connection to server on RMC3, feedback is indicating connected but now Processor B is attempting to connect to server on RMC3 but is denied until Processor A has released from server on RMC3. The TCP/IP Server is set to 0.0.0.0 to allow any connection from any device.

Re: DM-NVX-360 Freezing / Going offline

Possibly, I have multicast blocked on the port that goes out to the network so there are no interruptions network-side. It just seems that the decoder randomly stops talking to the CP4 for whatever reason, even though it still shows that it is online with the director. Once I am on-site agaib I'm going to involve crestron yet again and see if I can't get some answers there as well. Thank you

Re: DM-NVX-360 Freezing / Going offline

Thank you, I'll give that a go. It's a pain in the neck to swap them physically but I don't really have an option at this point lol. I've tried just about everything I can think of

Re: DM-NVX-360 Freezing / Going offline

Try physically and programmatically swapping the troublesome NVX with the one next to it that is working fine (IP ID, cable, drop, position in DIR-80, everything).
?
If the problem follows the NVX in that situation, time to call TB.
?
If the problem "moves" to the NVX in the same position, time to check other things.

Re: DM-NVX-360 Freezing / Going offline

Could this be an issue with multicasting?? We have an issue here where the network ports we are using are going through a different switch than the Xio.? This caused a massive network block and the ports ended up being disabled.

DM-NVX-360 Freezing / Going offline

Edited

Hello everyone,
?
I currently have 2 video walls side-by-side at a site where we are using all DM-NVX devices.
Processor is a CP4, using a DIR-80, and everything is connected with an Aruba 6100 48 port switch.
?
The video wall is a left 2x2 and a right 2x2 with each display(1080p) having a DM-NVX-360 behind it. Any 1 of 4 PC's can be routed to these displays individually, or all 4 displays can combine to make 1 image from the PC's. Also, these PCs are capable of 4k and I have the output resolution for the decoders set to 1080p, and the encoders EDIDs are set for DM Default 4K 2ch, which is what Crestron told me to set it as.
I am having a weird issue where for whatever reason, the decoder for the bottom right display on the left 2x2 keeps freezing and going offline. I can route any of these PC's to the other displays and they all switch but for some reason that one decoder seems to randomly get stuck on a source and won't switch like the rest of them. Any time I "fix" this issue by flipping the image or rebooting the decoder it happens again a few days or even weeks later.
?
Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing or any ideas for me to try? I apologize in advance as this is my first NVX system. Thanks!
?
?
EDIT: I am able to replicate the issue, and I can confirm that the decoder will get stuck displaying an image on the display, but when I log in to the decoder's web interface it shows the correct stream information and the preview is also correct and does not match the "stuck" image. Any htoughts on what might cause this and/or how to prevent it?

Re: Cisco SX80 Crestron LAN Control

I worked on a system with a couple of them last year, and they seemed to work fine.

Re: Honeywell Vista 128BPT disarming issues

Yes, I'm aware, and that's still an issue. I gave them the pros and cons, but it wasn't my decision.

Of course, I still get paid to change it - and to change it back, if it comes to that ?

I recommended the former, but I suspect they're leaning toward the latter

Re: HotWire Cable TV

I just uploaded one i learn it myself , hope it works

Re: HotWire Cable TV

Most of the hotwire that I have worked with here in S. Florida take the Uverse IR codes, but that said we have seen a few oddball units, which we just had to learn in.

Re: HotWire Cable TV

I'm not sure yet! Its a remote project for a Dealer I program for. Project is in Florida...

Re: HotWire Cable TV

I do have one, is the box white square looking ? Does it run on Tivo ?

Re: Preview multi-button on Xpanel

And what was the problem? Show control feedback not set?

Re: Preview multi-button on Xpanel

Nevermind, found the problem.?
