Re: Processor not talking to endpoints
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThis is probably the problem will fix and report back ? From: [email protected] <[email protected]>

Is your SIMPL Windows program referencing a DM-16X16 or a DM-16X16-CPU3 definition? If you have a CPU3 card but SIMPL is using the 2-series DM definition you either need to update the programming to use the -CPU3 definition or there is a configuration option on the CPU3 card to make it talk in the old mode. ? If it were a single endpoint I¡¯d first suspect cabling (as for a marginal cable DM sacrifices control to preserve video) but if all of your endpoints are acting this way that¡¯s the first thing I would confirm since that was one of the most radical changes with the CPU3 card. ? On Behalf Of Thomas Herb ? Howdy, ? I am installing a new dm switch and endpoints in a classroom. ? Pro3 processor DM 16x16 cpu3 rps ? Usual endpoints dm rmc 4kz scaler c, dm tx 4kz 202 ? Programming has the correct switch setup (cards, endpoints) Processor an switch talk to each other and signal switching is fine. Processor is not seeing end points and cannot send commands or RS232 to them. ? I have initialized processor and done a recovery on the switch. ? Have been on phone with support by they are stumped as well. ? I am currently waiting for them to pick up the phone. They told the to do the switch recovery and it that didn¡¯t work to call them back. ? Have a Great Day, ? ? Thomas (Trey) Herb M.A. Ed., CTS A/V Systems Manager Warrington College of Business

Re: Temperature Sensor recommendations to integrate with crestron CP4
I do not want to use the cresnet. I am trying to use LM35 but not getting proper readings from the IO port of the CP4. It will read in mV range. 10mv = 1 cel and 250mv is 25C but when connected to the IO port the value keeps on changing rapidly however the voltage is stable on the sensor.

Lutron QSX HVAC "Emulation"
Has anyone tried to create a "dummy" HVAC integration element on the Lutron side and then send/receive data with it? The application is that I have some software staging that I need to do on the creatron side and then create a "combined virtual thermostat" and then present that to the Lutron system as a 3rd Party thermostat object. Sort of what we do with Savant where we create fake Aprilaire Tstats in Savant and then hace Crestron send it commands.
Anyone tried that?? |

Re: Ring Doorbell <> Crestron Home
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThis might point you in the right direction, but do it at your own risk; I haven¡¯t tested this.?I used Scrypted (running on a Raspberry Pi) for integrating my Ring Doorbell with Apple HomeKit & I had no complaints, it works very well. I also noticed that Scrypted gives you the ability to create a RTSP video feed for the Ring Doorbell, which can then
be integrated into Crestron Home.
Sounds like it would work on paper, but like I said, I¡¯ve never tried it. Might be worth looking into.?
Hope this helps!

Dave, Will this fix the 2-series issue, or the scheduler/Data File issue (Which I think may still be present)??I dont think they will ever fix that. I seem to remember Dave reiterating that much to my frustration as we have quite a few PAC2/M systems out there humming away perfectly fine that occasionally need some tweaks. Its crazy how they cant fix that. Reminds me of Savant where if your runtime is over 2 years or so old they basically refuse to support any issues.? |
