Re: TSR-310 impressions
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi, i?m currently working on a project with a TSR310 that started as CH, but that I have now moved to SIMPL. In the beginning, there where serious connection issues with the remote to the control system. After waking up, the remote wouldn?t connect at all. (Netgear Pro wifi). We then added a dedicated access point with a hidden separate SSID to the room (the remote is dedicated to a cinema room) for the remote. That seemed to have solved the problem. However, I shortly moved the system to SIMPL, so I don?t really have long term experience on the CH topic. All my other projects with the TSR310 are SIMPL. ? HTH, Thorsten ? Von: [email protected] <[email protected]> Im Auftrag von michaelgwilson@... ? I'm looking at adding a TSR-310 along with some HR-310 remotes to a Crestron Home setup.? The TSR-310 looks like a great remote but I have read numerous complaints about connection issues after the remote goes to sleep to preserve battery life.? I have also seen that there is an updated firmware for this remote that is supposed to address this issue and provide faster connection when the remote wakes up and also overall performance improvements. |
Re: TSR-310 impressions
Hi, I use two TSR-310 in my now CH homesystem. Before I was using it in a custom programmed system. It¡®s absolutely true, even with the latest firmware and the latest beta OS4 release that this remote seems to be slow especially when it comes to waking up and connecting to the system. If the remote isn¡®t used for some time it can take around 2-3 seconds (would guess) until you get the action you pressed. This was/is much better with Simpl projects.? But I never had connection issues, if the controller didn¡®t do something strange because of OS4 beta reboot or something. I have some controls by CEC which seem slow too, but I checked it that is more an issue of the CEC Blu-ray-Player driver than the TSR remote. It¡®s the same with Home App on iPad and phone.? So for me the ?only¡° issue is the slow wake-up and connecting, but at the moment I don¡®t feel this like a real big problem to me. Would be great if that could be optimized of course, but the touchscreen does have advantages so it could be handled. Maybe you have to decide if the ?Performance UI¡° and so the touchscreen will offer you/your customer any advantages or if not maybe the HR-310 is the better choice. |
Re: TSR-310 impressions
No experience with the TSR310 with CH but with Simpl and VTPro I have had no issues. In my experience,? it is the best remote Crestron has ever made. Handheld wise. On Mon, Feb 5, 2024, 8:43 p.m. <michaelgwilson@...> wrote: Thanks for your input Pat.? Greatly appreciated. |
Re: TSR-310 impressions
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýIf you like your sanity, skip the TSR-310 even though it is a great remote on Simpl jobs, it is not so great on CH projects.? I would definitely go with the TSR-310 as they have been rock solid.? The TSR-310 is sluggish, loses connection to the control system and will make someone want to go crazy.? Haven¡¯t had any complaints on Simpl and Studio projects.? Just my $.02 ? Pat M ? ? From:

Can anyone that has this remote in their installation comment on how it's performing with the latest firmware? Thanks. |

NVX Director Alternative
I remember that it was mention in a thread, I just can't remember when?? Someone had posted an alternative to using a NVX-DIR with 3rd party software.? I have a small system that I am spec'ing and don't need a director, but still want the management side that director provides.

UC-MX50-T design question
Have a client who has a few conference rooms going in. We had specified the UC-MX50-Z as the best solution. Now client would like to add a dedicated PC at each TV.
Does anyone have a good idea on how to make this work from an audio perspective? Meaning, all of the audio gets distributed to the table top unit and I can't think of a clean way to do any really switching etc. I was thinking possibly a HD-MD4X1-4KZ-E that could manage the last device in concept, but I don't think that would be manageable as the. client would need to unplug sources to get things lined up. |
NVX USB Routing
For any one that is interest I've just commissioned NVX USB Routing, working with a Logitech Camera and Shure P300 going through a USB hub.
Equipment: 1 x NVX-363 (as USB Remote as Decoder) (Logitech Camera and Shure P300 connected to USB Hub then into USB-A Host port) 1 x NVX-360 (as Local as Encoder for BYOD) (NVX USB-C port) 1 x NVX-360 (as Local as Decoder for Client PC)?(NVX USB-C port) 1 x MBeat USB 3.0 hub. Is USB 2.0 compatible. I found that USB-C to USB-C cables would not work for the Local ends, had to use USB-C (NVX-360 end) to USB-A (BYOD and Local PC ends) Using the Serial joins on the Simpl Windows NVX? block to perform Auto Join Routing Layer 2 MAC Addresses This was for UC Soft Conferencing system. System Uses Shure MXA910 ceiling Mic and Ceiling Speakers running off Shure P300. I also used the Dante TX on the NVX-363 to route HDMI audio back into P300 for users who wont use USB audio, for local presentations. Hope this helps any one trying to something simular. |
