Re: Att: Moderators - I'm getting spam emails from Groups.io
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI have not been getting OOF¡¯s (including my own) from Groups.io. ? Seems like a misconfiguration on that sender¡¯s end that you¡¯re getting multiple replies instead of a single one, but also to pick nits doesn¡¯t sound like ¡°spam¡± (in the unsolicited commercial email sense) but rather ¡°unwanted¡± ? Att: Moderators - I'm getting spam emails from Groups.io
Hi Guys,
I'm curious if any others have seen this over the last week... Moderators, this is not a big deal, just an annoyance that I thought I'd bring to you attention... For the last week, when I post a response to various threads, I will get an email from:?yordan.lyaskov@<>.es?, where <> is their domain - Message is in Spanish (I think) and translated 'I'm out of the office', etc... It references the Thread that I responded to (the latest read: RE: Re: [crestron] RS-232 commands that only worked over an unconventional termination...) and came into my inbox within a few minutes of posting to that thread. Just FYI... |
Re: NVX Switchingh in simpl
2-series does in fact allow you to add NVX devices, though I would be careful about scale...Seems that your system is pretty small..
regarding SMW Programming/Routing: I have always just used the StreamLocation serial in/outs from the NVX device symbols. You don't need to do any subscribing, which is only needed (I think) when you're using the web browser though I don't even know that its needed for that... In SMW, set up a programmatic serial matrix logic and route the 'StreamLocation_F' output signals from the encoder device symbols to the 'StreamLocation' input signals on the decoder device symbols. If you're using any of the 300-series endpoints, you'll need to initialize the Video Source Analog inputs on the Decoders for select the stream input instead of the local HDMI inputs, on the 300-series Encoders, you'll use the Video Source analog input to select the input HDMI source desired... That's all that's needed for routing, and it is very scalable... |

I never really looked into it as for my needs, this is enough (all on/off).
I'll see if I can find some time to add individual control, assuming it's easy enough. |

Wait - Sharp changed parts of their protocol?? Inconceivable! On Thu, Jul 29, 2021 at 6:30 PM Lincoln King-Cliby via <lincoln=[email protected]> wrote:

Re: Simpl compiled zipped file is missing sgd
Also seen this recently when getting files from our other programmer. He had to send me the SGDs manually. Why did they break this feature? Its getting ridiculous these days. I am on software and databases that are probably 5-6 months old because I am tired of things breaking.?

Re: NVX Switchingh in simpl
Hmm, well I now have it working on a 2-series........
I have written a quick and dirty module to collect the input stream locations from the E30's and route to the D30's on receipt of an analogue value. Seems to work fine. I found a document about using the XIO symbol video out analogue to switch values but it seems to also require entering the subscription streams into a section under an "XIO routing" tab on the decoder....I cant seem to find this on the D30 GUI running V6 firmware....I have setup subscriptions on the decoder under the "subscriptions" tab by entering them manually, but this doesnt seem to allow the Video_Out signal to select them. Sending the location string works fine though, so ill take that for now. Site is having a processor / TP / NAX upgrade once we have rewritten the program and GUI to suit. |
Re: NVX Switchingh in simpl
Single subnet flat network 192.168.1.0 (setup in my office and stand-alone from anything else). I should mention that the processor in use is a CP2E as this is what is currently installed on the site we will be implementing the NVX to.
Site does have VLANS configured but will cross that bridge when we move the hardware from the office to the site! |

NVX Switchingh in simpl
Hi,
First NVX install, and having a struggle switching from the program. Following on from the advice previously given here, I have installed a Luxul POE switch and added my E30 and D30 units. I have successfully configured my subscriptions and can switch sources from the decoder web gui. What I am struggling to do is switch sources from my simpl program. My NVX training was quite some time ago (pre release of the 30 series) but IIRC it was possible to do basic analogue switching, the values equating to the stream subscription list position. Looking at the D30 symbol I am assuming that this is the "video_Out" signal on the XIO routing sub-symbol? if so changing values here does not implement switching!? Am I looking in the wrong place / using the wrong signal /missing additional logic here? Cant find an example program to confer with...im sure its something simple, can anyone point me in the right direction? |
Simpl compiled zipped file is missing sgd
I seems like the compiled zip file generated by simpl windows does not include the smart graphics definition anymore...?If I send the file to somebody, there will be a bunch of warnings popping up because the GUI extenders will be missing.
I miss the days when you could just send someone the compiled zip file knowing that it included everything necessary for a clean compile... now this does not seem to be the case anymore.
anybody else noticed this? ?

Re: RS-232 commands that only worked over an unconventional termination...
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýWhat pins were connected on each end? ? Was is really only the program that was changed, or was hardware changed as well? ? To answer some of your curiosity: ? As it happens, RS-232c voltage specifications are not always ¡°strictly¡± adhered to by various manufacturers, on both the control side and the controlled side. ? For example, the ¡°com¡± ports on a 2-series processor use the full voltage swing but the IR port when used for ¡°one-way serial¡± does not.? This means that some devices that are very robust (forgiving) will work on either and some devices that are more picky will not.? ? An older processor like a CP2e or a QM-RMC can be handy to use in your situation as it can be connected in place of the TV to check baud rate and commands.? You can also put one between the processor and the TV, using 2 com ports and a program that just connects rx of one port to tx of the other and then you can monitor both commands and responses as they pass through. |
Epiphan Livescrypt Integration?
I've been told to integrate this into a Council Chambers build. No published API or control inputs. All documented control is either from the local web interface, Epiphan Cloud, or the touchscreen built into the unit. Boo.
Before I start doing it, has anyone had some success reverse engineering any IP control protocol from the unit? From a quick look it looks like it has a basic web api and uses websocket communications on the admin page. I'm looking to get control over starting/stopping transcription and getting the current transcription status. As a bonus I would also like to get the current transcription output stream URL so I can scrape that too and get the text output from the unit live to re-distribute to the Youtube stream for the Council Chamber so they have proper subtitles and not permanently baked in subtitles. -Scott |
