Re: TSW-x52 non Crestron mac address

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Yeah, that joke gets used a lot in testing hardware ¨C it may have just not had the correct MAC programmed in. Not the first time. As long as you don¡¯t have another DEAD BEEF 1234 on the same network it shouldn¡¯t cause any real issues on its own. On the other hand check to make sure everything else is working as expected as there is a small chance that this could be a sign of an impending failure.

Yes, I've had a TSW-760 report a weird MAC Address. I don't have record of what the MAC Address was, but the panel was defective out of the box (it was touching itself in weird places and calibration, restore, init, etc. wouldn't fix it). That was a fun call to True Blue when it reported both a bogus Serial Number (one not on our PO) AND a bogus MAC Address. The sticker satiated the claim, though, and we got an advanced replacement.?

Re: TSW-x52 non Crestron mac address

I've seen that one as well

Re: Avoid latest versions of SIMPL when programming for 2- or 3-series for now

The Biamp modules were version 1.5. Two workarounds seem to exist: rollback to the older SIMPL, or update the firmware on the processor. Either fix alone solved it. The program was from 5 years ago and I was only adding an XPanel to it, so I was trying to tread lightly.

Re: Program Restart. #console

Like Steve said, just reboot.? If you actually wanted to restart a program, though, it would be "progreset -p:1" for the program in slot 1.

On Sun, Jun 21, 2020 at 11:27 AM Steve Kuehn <steve@...> wrote:
I usually use "reboot" instead.? I am not even sure if "progreset" will cause the slave mode to take effect.

At least on my MC3 and MC2E, I don't need to supply any parameters with "progreset".?? I think you? only need to supply the parameters when you have multiple programs running.

?PROGRESET {-P:ALL | -P:Specific Program Identifier} {-V} {-D}

? -P:? Reset a specific program or ALL.? If not present, ALL assumed..

? -V:? Verbose reset.

? -D:? Don't keep DBGSIGNAL information (PROGRESET normally preserves DBGSIGNAL flags).

Could anyone help me out what does those parameters means ? What does the "-V" & "-D" means ?

Is there any other easier? command that would achieve this ?

Thank You.

Re: Hayward OmniLogic Crestron Module

I¡¯ve done a few. Couple things are strange about the Hayward. First it only controls the pool or the spa at any one time so not possible(or advisable) to have a single page that is pool and spa control. You have to press Pool then the temp read out for the current temp serial will he Pool, and of you press Spa then the same serial string now reports the Spa current temp.

Also the DNS has to be set. But you say that¡¯s covered.

The last gotcha I found is that the Site ID as they call it in the module is a different name on the Hayward site . It¡¯s like system ID or some other name I can¡¯t remember.

Re: LG Refrigerator Module

The few pieces I put together seem to imply it's OAUTH or OAUTH2-based (or perhaps "inspired" -- parts definitely don't look like pure OAUTH) and despite being called an "open" API it appears LG's approval is needed to get the full API spec -- though admittedly I've not dug too far -- since no one answered "Yes, of course I have it done and working" [wasn't really expecting that answer, but also wasn't really thinking "what version of Android is this refrigerator running" would be a question during the appliance shopping process either] at this point I'm waiting for the fridge to be delivered and installed before I dive too deep.

But I get home from the apartment tomorrow, fridge gets delivered Thursday and then Friday I'm off to California for my dad's 70th over the weekend (shhhhh...no one tell him I'm coming. It's a surprise.) and with actual paying client obligations it will probably be a while before I dig too deep.

Correct but when I looked at the information it was just model information for refrigerators or open source licensing info. Unlike other products there isn't any application source code that could be used to figure out the commands being sent.

I can control to previews version, but not on this newer; The Datasheet inform control by RS-232 and Ethernet, but i can't make it work.

On Monitor, I can see a fisical port called Service, on this port I treyed all Baud Rate and after with cross cable. Not worked.

I maked a port scan and I can see ports open: 7678, 9197, 26101 and 38485; ?None Worked.
On the Ports 7678 and 9197 I can keep connected, but do not have communication.

Commands that I Have is:
To Turn On: \xAA\x11\xFE\x01\x01\x11 and \x08\x22\x00\x00\x00\x02\xD4
To Turn Off: \xAA\x11\xFE\x01\x00\x10 and \x08\x22\x00\x00\x00\x01\xD5

At no time did I receive any kind of response.?
I managed to control some functions by CEC, but it doesn't have all the actions I would like.

Many Thanks

I¡¯ve seen DEAD.BEEF.1234 and DEAD.BEEF.DEAD a few times on Crestron products (at least one of them I set myself while trying to figure out something under the hood, ?the remainder from factory-sealed product)

?

On some products (particularly 2-series and TPS panels) you can use MACA xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx or MACA 0 xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx but not sure if that¡¯s supported on the TSWs

?

I believe based on some things I¡¯ve observed while troubleshooting that TSWs at least pull their default MAC from the what the ethernet hardware reports so if the MAC is wrong in the hardware no matter what you do in the firmware as far as restoring, etc. will get it back¡

Anyone ever seen a non Crestron mac address on a TSW panel?? I just picked up one off Ebay and it doesn't have the usual 00:10:7f mac address.? I couldn't imagine how to change it back to match whats on the sticker.? Already tried a factory restore doing the 11 press reset button.

Re: TSW-x52 non Crestron mac address

Is it possible it's been repaired?? Swapping out LAN ports/cards would cause a different MAC to show up. If they used off the shelf parts rather than had Crestron repair it?? Otherwise, maybe a config file?? MAC addresses are often changeable with software, but I'm not sure how to do it on a touch panel.? What MAC address is reported in the panel diagnostics (or when you connect over toolbox)?? Just out of curiosity...

I also am in the middle of integrating a DSC.? I am not happy with the DSC and I am not happy with supposed integration with the v1.1 modules from Crestron or how it works with the IT-100 Interface.

1) There is no direct BYPASS command and there is no BYPASS feedback per zone.? You literally have to make a sequence (ie, send star command, send bypass command, send zone number, send exit) or you have to tell the home owner to press star, look for BYPASS ZONES, and then scroll through their 64 zones to see which one is O for open and then hit star.? There is NO auto-bypass option according to the security guy.
2) I'm constantly getting laggy delays and errors.? I've explained to the customer, but of course it just makes us integration people look bad.
3) The keypad is not intuitive.? Who knows you are supposed to press STAR for the menu? ? Who knows what you are supposed to press when it just has the stupid date/time on the text output.? The security guy said he removed date/time from anywhere he could find and indeed it doesn't show on the keypads...why then does it show on the virtual keypad that the crestron module displays?

I used to use the GE interlogix NX8E for all my systems...easiest and most reliable I could find.? Super easy for the customer to use and there was a nice bypass feature in the Crestron module that reflected on the touchscreen easily.? Apparently they don't sell that anymore (manufacturer discontinued).

Let me know if you find any way to improve the situation with the existing DSC.

Thank you for letting me take a look.

Im still trying to get it working with the SmartLinc serial interface but its not working for me.

Hayward OmniLogic Crestron Module

Does anyone have any experience with integrating these water systems?? We always utilize Jandy or Pentair so this is the first time looking at this one.? It seemed pretty straightforward with username, password and SiteID, but the xml response from the v1.1 module off Crestron's site is saying "You don't have permission to access."

I have triple-checked the login which works on the mobile app and website and all is good there.? I have tried changing the Backyard site name, tried entering the numeric field it provides instead, DNS is set and the processor can ping google so no DNS issues.? I've also tried putting another user onto the account and using that as the login to no avail.? Is this module even still supported and accurate?

I also tried contacting Hayward for technical support and was told they did not have a technical support department.... uh huh.

Anyways, just seeing if anyone had any pointers in the right direction.? Thanks in advance!
