Re: Windows 10 Upgrade
I've been running Windows 10 on my PC Laptop for a few weeks now. Besides some Thunderbolt driver issues which I think I have resolved, I haven't had any major issues. In fact the laptop seems to run faster. My laptop has a ?"4K" 3840x2160 native resolution, and I just bought the new LG wide screen that runs at 3440x1440. Crestron software looks just fine at this resolution and I finally have the space I need to work on touch panels like the TSW-1052! I don't run my laptop display at?3840x2160 though as everything is way too small.

Re: Homeworks QS individual load control - Ro2 module question
Just finished implementing this today. ?I found that the module didn't seem to process all feedback correctly especially when a keypad press came in with the current level. ?I had to add a serial gather to make it work properly, which was also tricky because the login process doesn't use delimiters. ?The gather might help with the overflow if it isn't processing it correctly like mine was. ?
I was fairly unimpressed with this module as well because the ramping feature is not a true ramp. ?It gives the impression of ramping on the interface, but waits until you release the button to actually send the ramp command. ?I imagine they are trying to avoid an overload of values/commands being sent to and from the Lutron. ?Can anyone verify this? |
Re: Not understanding Serial outputs on FIFO Queue Symbol
I was helping another programmer with this for his cert and the digitals would work fine, but the rest of it didn't work. I have no idea what/if we were doing something wrong. I said screw that and wrote my own that will populate an analog number of selections in line and give feedback for the digitals in line and the names in the order selected giving the current selected and the next in line on their own outputs while keeping track and updating if someone decided to delselect that was in the queue. It was actually pretty easy in simpl+. Just get creative with the FOR loops to update what is queued or removed.?
So, sorry I can't offer suggestions on the crestron FIFO. The digital side works great on that module, but it was faster to write my own versus trying to figure their stuff out. :/ |

Re: Panasonic AW-HE130
So I did some googling, and discovered that all the Panasonics have supported HTTP 1.1 and keep-alive since 2011, but the module is using HTTP 1.0.? I'm rewriting a couple of the S+ modules to see if I can make it work that way.? My fallback is to pull more wire and run it RS-422, but I hope it doesn't come to that.? I won't be on site until later in the week, but I'll let everyone know what happens.

Not understanding Serial outputs on FIFO Queue Symbol
Hello, Could anyone explain to me how the serial outputs on the FIFO Queue symbol are supposed to be fed data? I have read the help file and am running in to an issue understanding the signal routing; My serial outputs always display empty. My understanding is that it takes data from a Serial RAM symbol, so I put together a quick program that has a FIFO Queue, and MakeStringPermanent, and a Serial RAM symbol. I have digital signals called Select_1 through Select_5 on the inputs of the FIFO and the SRAM. The FIFO has serial outputs called Display_1 through Display_5. The In/Out signal on the SRAM is called Serial_Ram$ . In Debugger, I can hold "store" high on the SRAM and populate strings in to it. Then I can set "store" low, and "recall" high, as well as setting "enable" high on the FIFO queue. At this point I can see all the digital presses of selects queued properly via the FIFO, and the proper serial strings are recalled on the In/Out signal from the SRAM, but the Display_1 through Display_5 outputs on the FIFO are always blank. I feel I must be misunderstanding something, but Crestron TB couldn't help either. Is anyone familiar enough to explain or point me towards a program or module that uses this symbol with serial data that I could review? Thanks! Joshua Blanton |
Re: Homeworks QS individual load control - Ro2 module question
a little off topic, R02 feedback sorting module gives me many overflow errors but it is password protected and I cannot open it to increase the declared size. Anybody seen this and/or have a fix? I have several projects that are controlling quite a few individual loads using the R02 versions, no issues so far. |
Re: Windows 10 Upgrade
Crestron doesn't like high DPI displays no matter what, even on pure Windows. This is a Crestron issue, not a MAC issue.
Running something in compatibility mode often helps for this. Right click the executable, select the Compatibility tab, and check "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings". But it would be nice if Crestron tested their stuff on high res displays, as these are becoming more and more common (but absolutely not the "norm" yet). As for Windows 10 compatibility in general, I had problems with MasterInstaller with technical previews of Windows 10. But since the final release, MasterInstaller works fine for me, both for upgrades from Windows 8.1 and for fresh installs. /Jeff |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýTB says I shouldn¡¯t use the "custom" size and that we're supposed to use the default resolution of 320x460 (which is an iPhone 4 by the way and is physically shorter) and let the iPhone scale the project. ? I really can¡¯t believe this¡ ? From: Heather Baiman

Comcast Xfinity XG2v2.5 boxes
So after struggling with this it is time to finally cave in. ?Has anyone come across these boxes yet and if so have you found the location of the IR sensor? ?This is Comcast new X1 or should we say X2 platform that has the cloud based DVR. ?Ran into this box on Friday afternoon and was able to get the standard IR codes to work but can not get it to work with an IR bud on the front of the box. ?Using an MX-850 being converted to a Crestron ML-600. ?Tried every possible spot on the box firing codes at it but nothing worked until I set the remote to just IR and not RF. ?Finally just programmed the Comcast remote to work via RF but need to find a solution. ?I was able to find the IR sensor on the front of the slave Verison 2 Xi3 box. Re: Panasonic AW-HE130
The module works fine for a HE-120 or an HE-60 on a 3 series, so I doubt that is the issue.? Jason's mention of HTTP 1.0 vs 1.1 may very well be the culprit.? The earlier models used 1.0 and reconnected quickly, whereas this model isn't reconnecting quick enough to be responsive with HTTP 1.0.? I'm off-site now but I'll do some wireshark digging when I get back there and see exactly what IE is sending.? If it is indeed HTTP 1.1, I'll have to do some learning to know what I need to change in the S+ parts of the module to make it work.?
Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I'll let you know how it works out. |

I'd definitely be interested in checking it out...I tried the email address you listed but it's getting bounced.
