Re: Remote Access Crestron Mobile iPhone APP
How do I change the Default Address, my is IP ID:17, Default Address:127.000.000.001, do I do this task in toolbox, and access the AV2 and in IP Table go to where my iPhone is IP ID 17, IP Address 127.000.000.001, slave, Port: 41791, or change the address in the simple window program cause in there doesn't let me do anything. |

Wow! This is the second time this week that I've heard about TB failing to help someone out with such a basic thing. A tech contacted me a few days ago because he couldn't find the NVRAM folder on a Pro2 that I asked him to put some files in. He called TB, the even took over his laptop to see what the problem was, and then had him contact me to make sure my programming wasn't the issue. The issue was that the NVRAM wasn't enabled. Are they letting the janitors answer the TB line over there??

Have you made any more progress? I've written on node.js app that will authenticate, listen and then pipe the Nest JSON object and post on a non-https REST api. ?Would that help your efforts. ?I have lot of clients clamoring for these thermostats. Again, if things hit a wall, I'm happy to provide middle-ware. JB |

how did this work out?? I am having similar issues - random RF range message at the top, and intermittent button presses.? I press channel 789 for example and get 77 , 8, it waits long enough to change to ch 778 and?then a 9 magically appears.? Now I got a call that the remote is scrolling multiple items in menus with one button press.? Distance to the gateway is about 8 feet.? Please tell me this is not a function of how Infinet EX stuff behaves - I was going to try out a MLX3 but at this rate if the older MLX2 isn't behaving well, what are my options?? I hate to go to a 4x... |

You can't directly connect to a Cresnet device. First you have to have a USB, TCP, or serial connection to a processor. Make that first, then choose that device as the parent. Chris

Yeah, you are correct. ?I cross referenced against an Extron control module, and its the (PWR1) protocol. ?However, I found that the HD5Kc has the same protocol, however the module I found utilizes a device ID. ?What do you suppose the DWU-600 would discard the ID if you sent it an ID of 00?.... Thoughts?

Safe zone for IR inputs?
Hello, We are running into issues with the Crestron IR receiver recognizing IR from other remotes. ?The biggest problem is currently from Apple TV remotes, as people plug their Apple TVs into an HDMI Aux jack and use the remote to control them in the same room as an RTI generating Crestron RC5 IR. As a standard, we use IRID-00. Is there a less problematic one we should be using? |
