The WIim Pro has an https api that is very limited but has some utility.? Using @TroyGarner's https utility, I was able to get some control of the device.? @JoeWhitaker, who now works at Origin, did confirm that a reworked api is in the works that is more suitable for the custom integrator.

This processor has an internal router/control subnet but we are not using it for anything. That being said, I ignored the red text in the firmware release notes that says

• Before upgrading a router-based control system to 2.8003.00020, make sure to upgrade it to?2.8001.00098?first. Upgrading to 2.8003.00020 directly could result in the router firmware upgrade failing.

This was the case for me. The err log was always full of lines that say “router GetFirmwareVersion ERROR” or something similar.?

I decided to do the downgrade / upgrade to latest version (v2.8003.00055). Ever since, I have not had a single issue loading programs & we haven’t had to reboot the processor in a long time.?

I think the server name and hostname are the same.

Can you point me to a manual or link that covers changing the hostname on a "VC-4"? I have no problems finding how to change it on the PC versions but I'm not having luck finding it for the VC4.

Are you referring to the hostname?? If so, yes.? Just remember to generate a new Self-Signed Certificate after an IP address or hostname change as outlined in the VC4 manual.?

It has no sense giving the option to a client to change a DM-NVX-363 from receiver to transmitter. Just decide the way u want to work in the project and that`s it. If you give that option there are more possibilities that the client don`t use it right and complain about the functionality.. programming is not fine.. and so on..

And it works.? You can turn the event log on and off, list the events, and manually trigger events.? Great for confirming that your event scheduler is working.

I am using D3PRO v3.06.004.00with the latest CP4 firmware v2.8003.00055and the latest other Crestron software so I know it works with that.? And unlike previous versions of D3PRO, D3PRO now loads and put the scheduler.dat file in the right spot.

We've had numerous AV Consultants specify NVX devices to be switchable from encode to decode and fortunately on every occasion bar one, we have convinced them it's a bad idea.??

not sure if it applies to the 4P-B86EJ2U: we just received a Sharp display that allows selection of the RS232 protocol: "S" or "N" protocol.
The commands described above are "S" protocol, the "N" protocol is HEX.
Please check if there is a setting to switch between "N" and "S".
In addition you might want to check for Crestron Connected control. A firmware update on the display might be required to add this feature.
