not sure if it applies to the 4P-B86EJ2U: we just received a Sharp display that allows selection of the RS232 protocol: "S" or "N" protocol.
The commands described above are "S" protocol, the "N" protocol is HEX.
Please check if there is a setting to switch between "N" and "S".
In addition you might want to check for Crestron Connected control. A firmware update on the display might be required to add this feature.
