Hard Buttons on TMPC-4SMD Cause Runaway Volume Issues

Hi Folks,

I am using my first TPMC-4SMD touch panel for an upgrade to an existing project. I have the device talking to a CP2E on the network and all works fine. I have buttons on the touch panel that control a Biamp Nexia for volume up and down. These work as expected. When I connected the hard buttons for volume up and down on the touch panel as well, things went wonky. If you press and hold the hard button to raise the volume up, it will raise it to the limit with no stopping even if you have stopped pressing the button. The same with the volume down. One can't control the volume by using the hard buttons as they have minds of their own. The on screen buttons do not behave this way at all. Is there some trick to this, or is this an undocumented feature? I have the latest firmware updates and I am using the new Biamp 7.4 modules as the 7.2 versions do not work at all anymore. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

-David
