Hi,
I'm currently running BPQ on Windows as that's what my HF rig is set-up for. I have the following set:-
APPLICATION 1,PMS,,M5MPC-1,PMS,255
Any connection to -1 goes to -7. Am I missing something?
Regards,
Mat M5MPC

Just to add, if I connect to mycall-1 from my node - I hit the BBS. If I connect from another node, I don't!?

Hi Mat The stream number of the application has to match the one configured on the WebUI BBS Config screen: MailMgmt->Configuration->BBS Appl Nr. In the bpq32.cfg, ensure that the following parameters are set:
; Regular Configurations
NODECALL=M5MPC-7 ; Node callsign
NODEALIAS=MPCNOD ; I dunno what your alias is, just a suggestion. BBS=1 NODE=1
You need to have the BPQ Mail.exe running as well.
APPLICATION 1,PMS,,M5MPC-1,MPCPMS,255

¡¯PMS¡¯ alias is likely to collide with someone else.

?Mat if you can post your entire bpq32.cig config, via my email you already have or hear that would help a lot. All the best Red

Hi Red,
Propagation went south tonight... Here is my config at the time. I guess my nodealias has been causing the trouble. Will try again tomorrow eve.
NODECALL=M5MPC-7 ; Node callsign NODEALIAS=M5MPC
BBS=1 ; 1 = BBS support included, 0 = No BBS support NODE=1 ; Include switch support
APPLICATION 1,PMS,,M5MPC-1,PMS,255
Cheers,
Mat.

Don't use PMS twice, you may have your reasons for using the Connection application as PMS but most use BBS, Here is my Application line for BPQ32
APPLICATION 1,BBS,,N9PMO,PMOBBS,255
The other thing to keep in mind the in BPQ32.CFG, AXIP Port the QUALITY= Needs to be high enough for a a remote node to store it, 192 is a more common start QUALITY=192 MINQUAL= I have done a lot of experimenting and found MINQUAL=144 to be the best so as not to Flood my Nodes table, Based on MAXNODES=550 I do have quite a few node partners so I don't get carried away.
Also in the Global Section (Before the Ports section) NODESINTERVAL=37 you can very this to what you feel is ok, this has some effect on remote nodes to save your Node Broadcast, remember you must be sending out a Node Broadcast in Netrom or IPV6 a Node broadcast Direct from a TNC won't work.
Let me know if this helped.

Mat is purposefully not using BBS command as to keep head down on RF as running a BBS isn¡¯t allowed on that license without a NoV, it is semantics though, using the BBS as a PMS.? 73 Red

Hi Red & Mike
If Mat is running RF as well on his BPQ PMS,
he can only run it unattended for 30 minutes maximum,
after that he has to turn it off, (terms of his licence) because
it is using RF.
just my pennies worth

Hi All,
Cheers for that, a silly misconfig by myself :) - I hope to be back in shack this evening to try it out.
I set it to PMS to indicate there's no routing or anything going on i.e. You can only send messages to myself.
It's attended operation - Putting aside license conditions,? I don't trust my BPQ abilities enough for unattended, and with my electricity bill as it is, hell will freeze over before I leave my PC on overnight hehe :)
Regards,
Mat.
