Re: linbpq terminal window scrolling
开云体育It used to be a problem with some browsers, but I thought I'd fixed it - it seems ok with the ones I use here. Which browser are you using? The Terminal in the Web interface isn't really intended for regular use, just occasional troubleshooting. There are much better terminal programs, eg QtTermTCP. 73, John On 20/02/2021 03:42, Carmine Prestia

linbpq terminal window scrolling
Carmine Prestia
I have used the terminal in linbpq.? However it exhibits some strange behavior.
Every time I enter something in the command line at the bottom of the terminal or the terminal receives some data the window returns to the top with multiple lines of Scroll To The End. This continues throughout the use of the terminal.? I have to continually scroll down to read the new data. Has anyone else experienced this? Thank you. 73 Carmine, K3CWP |

Re: pilinbpq 'missing libconfig.so.9'
The 15th Feb beta version is the latest. The version in the Downloads directory is a rebuild of the latest release 6.0.21.1 that I had accidentally deleted. But I built it from the published source that dynamically loads libconfig. I've rebuilt linked statically and re-uploaded.

The beta version dated the 15th of Feb is working fine. Just wondering if I downloaded the wrong file. Thanks, Jim |

You can't selectively disable ID frames, you can only turn off for the whole system (by setting IDINTERVAL=0). 73, John On 19/02/2021 11:52, Misko YT7MPB wrote:
Hello, |
APRS-only port?
Hello,
I want to 'advertise' a local VHF packet node & BBS (running on 144.875 MHz) by adding another VHF port on 144.800 MHz (APRS-only) where I just want it to send APRS beacons (GPS position) once per hour, as well as to receive local APRS traffic and plot it on the map. What I do not want is that new port sends nodes broadcast and node IDs, as those two add unnecessary traffic on the APRS channel. So how to stop the new port to behave as 'regular' node/bbs port? (I added to my config the port params from the APRS sample, and it does send GPS location to the map. But as I said, nodes broadcast and station ID are not wanted. Misko YT7MPB |
Re: Strugging to get COMPORT to work

Got myself very confused there (not hard) got my 2 configuration swapped
over trying different port description. Amazing how you can miss little thing
looking at problems, typo on my behalf missed the forward stroke. Now working

That
is a bit weird. Assuming you want to use the USB serial port it should be
COMPORT=/dev/ttyUSB0, but if it says it is trying to open ttyAMA0 then maybe you
are looking at the wrong bpq32.cfg. Try this? COMPORT=/dev/ttyUSB073, John Ken, W9GM ? |

Ahh the eternal battle of what exactly is the End Of Line.?? With windows putty make sure he applied the setting to the current session or save it to the session and disconnect / reconnect. If all else fails create a new saved session from defaults and add the settings. I've often had this discussion with "younger" folks and they are convinced it's broken because it's 2 commands CR LF.. its not until I explain how a typewriter works that they see the light...?
