when ya go to buy extra holders , get the #2 & not the plane #1 , the #2 allows square & round tools along with some boring bars . & ya can turn the knurler bout face & use that for a square tool

Spacer is to line up the marks on the threading dial, most often marks get out of alignment when parts are mixed from different machines..
