Pulleys are a real good first project . Ya can make then one at a time & just hold them next to each other with the set screws on the shaft

There are VFDs available for single > three phase use.

IIRC, the Acorn is a copy of the Atlas lathes. You might be able to get the correct pulley, which as another poster has said, is a 10-80. I didn't find any on ebay.co.uk, but there are a couple in the

You need the Atlas 10-80 countershaft pulley. This is used on all 10” and 12” lathes from Atlas or Craftsman.
