Just took a look at mine. Enco Mfg. Co, Chicago 39 Illinois USA, Serial #97. I've been to Enco a long time ago when they were, I believe on Armitage in Chicago. That's going back at least 40 years.

That's why I used the gear motor,? coupled direct to the drive motor shaft.I shut off power to the lathe and put a block of wood under the brake pedal so I didn't out of habit either start the 7.5 hp

Dave what does the thread per inch come out to be on your parts? I wanted to cut an internal oil groove with one full revolution in 1" so I over drove the lead screw 8:1 since lead screw pitch was 8

Yes, I had one of those. That¡¯s how I happen to know that they take 5/8¡± dia. tooling. I think that they were probably made in Taiwan as I¡¯ve seen them advertised by other than Enco as well.
