Thanks to everyone who showed up. I got there late, and sat only at one end of the table, so this is about a quarter of a summary of topics (and I won't even try to be complete)
- Ed talking about RSS this afternoon at the School of Information, 3pm - layoffs at Borders, 90 people - golf community - YouTube videos and the "long tail" - valuations for community sites at 1m users, $6-$20/user? - teaching the SAT online - Eastern Accents as a Thursday tech nexus - more beautiful origami
and afterwards, I understand that Al Gore's movie is going to be at the Michigan Theater tomorrow.
(If anyone has a list of everyone who was at the table, please send to the list - thanks!)

here isn't an agenda for what will be lunch at Eastern Accents on 6/1 - whatever will be talked about will be talked about. but it is a kind of running log of some things that have crossed my mind over the past week....
the virtue of cafes without wireless access, or with pay-only wireless that's too dear
the price of gas -
the non-virtue of ice cream stores without shade, and parking lots full of cars
adding sidenotes to text in your blog - e.g.
online environments to motivate individual exercise, e.g. for pedometer users
blogging for dollars, or blogging to make sense? a report from the IT Zone
the distance between academics, students, and the world, and what to do to bridge those gaps
twisting google calendar into a task management system
how to remember what you've been up to without obsessing over every detail
looking forward to seeing some friends tomorrow!
thanks
Ed
