I found this video of someone doing modifications to a LL GP38, but you can see through his editorial text that it has a Mabuchi can motor with a shaft running to a gear tower. Maybe the NWSL gearing was for these? Is this the current version of these locos?

??There was a GP38 with the same drive also. I don't know if it was sold under the L/L name or if it was sold under the Model Power name.
??NWSL had a regear kit listed at one time for a Model Power GP38.
I wonder if those may be the gears for this style drive?
