if there is a manual, read that

if there is a FAQ, read that

if reading fails, email the author . . .

good luck!

cool :)

I've just bought a DX7 Mark 1 that is not 'normal'. It seems to have an

When it starts up, it states 'MAXsystems SUPERMAX (A)'

I take it is some form of upgrade. Is there a site (or
anything,anywhere0 that can tell me more.

I've tried the P-Farm and I can not test it because everytime i try to send or receive something a message error is displayed and tells me to check the midi set up. But the midi set up is OK (i've tested it with my Korg Prophecy and everything is OK)
Any idea ?

There is a program called P-Farm that works with the DX100. P-Farm uses

Hope you enjoy your new baby!! I love mine.
There is a very good shareware editor for the DX7 for mac.. you can find it linked to on synthzone.com
That is what I use, it lays out all the parameters in a nice graphical way.. or you can buy unisyn or sounddiver.

Hi,
Thanks for the info. I have been to Dave Benson's site (and got a
pretty decent "Keyboard" article about programming the DX7). I
haven't seen the other one tho. It looks useful, thanks for that. I
think I've seen you about before, I remember checking your MP3's.
Aren't you on any other lists? Reply privately so as not to bore the

Thanks again,

It isn't a drum machine. I think it is a table top unit with synth engine of a DX100 or DX7 with knobs and filter.

Re: Sound library ? send SYSEX

Thanks for the prompt answer. I've tried with a Sysex manager but I can't manage the DX 100 to send or receive anything. I'll try the P-Farm ASAP.

Thanks again,

K.

I don't know if Soundlib would work with the DX100 or not. I think
Soundlib simulates DX7 buton pushes to automate sysex transfer ( so you
don't have to push buttons to make the DX7 send sysex) You could try it
though. I've heard that the DX7 is compatible with patches produced by
some of the 4 op machines.

There is a program called P-Farm that works with the DX100. P-Farm uses
a "genetic algorithm" to create new patches. Here's the URL:

Sound library ? send SYSEX

Hi,

I've just bought a second hand Yam DX 100 and I'm really amazed by
what this little synth can do. I'd like to know what is the best
software to save the patch i've created and also what do I have to do
to send the sysex from the Dx100. I've tried several ways but none
seems working and the manual doesn't say anything about it.

Thanks in advance,

Kemi

Re: Hammond B3 Voice Patch

I'm not sure but I think you can save from your DX to the disk drive,
then upload that file to me using your PC. The other option of course
is to copy the data parameters and settings to a data sheet and send
that info to those who would like it.

What are the names of the B3 voices that you have?

Thanks.

Jerry

I don't have a scanner set up or I'd scan it and send it. Check your
local libraries. Don't forget the library of a local university or
college. The local university here has a collection of Keyboard from the
present to back in the '80s. -Nathan
