I've tried the P-Farm and I can not test it because everytime i try to send or receive something a message error is displayed and tells me to check the midi set up. But the midi set up is OK (i've tested it with my Korg Prophecy and everything is OK)
Any idea ? There is a program called P-Farm that works with the DX100. P-Farm uses_________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at . |

There is a very good shareware editor for the DX7 for mac.. you can find it linked to on synthzone.com That is what I use, it lays out all the parameters in a nice graphical way.. or you can buy unisyn or sounddiver. --- In YamahaDX@y..., nickwalsh@r... wrote:

Hi,
Thanks for the info. I have been to Dave Benson's site (and got a pretty decent "Keyboard" article about programming the DX7). I haven't seen the other one tho. It looks useful, thanks for that. I think I've seen you about before, I remember checking your MP3's. Aren't you on any other lists? Reply privately so as not to bore the other group members:) Thanks again, Nick:) --- In YamahaDX@y..., Summa <flotorian@y...> wrote: Hi Nick, for you, but the link page points to lots of FM synthesis tutorials...one takepiece of advice about gear that has proved the most useful is to andmy time and take baby steps. Hi Nick,
if you need more help try following links... Dave Bensons's DX7 Page with a lot's of informations and links... ftp://byrd.math.uga.edu/pub/html/dx7.html The Unofficial FS1R page... the FS1R may be not that interesting for you, but the link page points to lots of FM synthesis tutorials... Hi,
I am getting my DX7 delivered tomorrow. I know what to expect. I've never done FM synthesis before but I've studied waveforms and how they interact (data comms at college:) so I understand the concepts involved. I don't have a computer at home but I may be getting one soon. I understand that Vangelis used a DX7 (?). Does anyone know where I can find patches of his sounds. Also, does anyone know if there's any software that can play patches on a PC so I know what they sound like? Or am I talking a lot of crap, you'll have to forgive me... I'm new to this stuff... Thanks, Nick:) |

It isn't a drum machine. I think it is a table top unit with synth engine of a DX100 or DX7 with knobs and filter.

Thanks for the prompt answer. I've tried with a Sysex manager but I can't manage the DX 100 to send or receive anything. I'll try the P-Farm ASAP.
Thanks again, K. I don't know if Soundlib would work with the DX100 or not. I think_________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at . |

I don't know if Soundlib would work with the DX100 or not. I think
Soundlib simulates DX7 buton pushes to automate sysex transfer ( so you don't have to push buttons to make the DX7 send sysex) You could try it though. I've heard that the DX7 is compatible with patches produced by some of the 4 op machines. There is a program called P-Farm that works with the DX100. P-Farm uses a "genetic algorithm" to create new patches. Here's the URL: Soli Deo Gloria, Nathan ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Sound library ? send SYSEX
Hi,
I've just bought a second hand Yam DX 100 and I'm really amazed by what this little synth can do. I'd like to know what is the best software to save the patch i've created and also what do I have to do to send the sysex from the Dx100. I've tried several ways but none seems working and the manual doesn't say anything about it. Thanks in advance, Kemi |
Re: Hammond B3 Voice Patch
I'm not sure but I think you can save from your DX to the disk drive,
then upload that file to me using your PC. The other option of course is to copy the data parameters and settings to a data sheet and send that info to those who would like it. What are the names of the B3 voices that you have? Thanks. Jerry |
