patches for download

joel <mango@xxxxxxxxxxx.xxx

People!

If you want some good (yes good:) patches for your synth,
you can find some good ones at my site:
Patches so far include: Yamaha CS1x, Nord Lead, Yamaha DX7, Roland Alpha
Juno, Korg Z1, Access Virus, Kawai K5000, Casio CZ100
I would appreciate it if you have some patches to share, so the
patch-archive could become bigger..
Or if you know how to make or get a script that lets you upload patches
automatically to the site it would be cool too.

Thanks!

I have lots of DX7 sounds but in Sound Diver format only. You're
welcome to these if you would like them. I would love to trade sounds
with anyone. Have one great big collection here.

Cheers

Re: Patches

Thanks for the prompt replies and advice. Now for the second problem. I know that I will need some sort of librarian in order to dump the sysex to the DX. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which librarian or other piece of software would be the best to use and where to get it. I don't have my own PC but I do have access to one. You honestly wouldn't believe that I've had this synth for years>
Thanks again.

Marc.

attachements are saved in the archives too

joel

I just found out that attachements are also saved in the archives.
That's pretty cool. :)
(maybe it is just accessable for list moderators, but i don't think so.)

DX100 - internal or external powersupply ?

mango

Hi,
Does the Yamaha DX100 run on an external adapter or does it have a built
in power unit? I can buy a Yamaha DX100 from someone in the US, (at
least he can pick it up for me) but first i need to know if i can use
it.... If it has an external adapter i can probably get the equivalent
here, but then in 220 volts... If the power unit is internal it's a
problem...
Thanks,

Joel

AFAIK it runs off 9v, so an adaptor should be easy enough.

Re: Welcome to YamahaDX

Jay Ricketts

Hi,

I just joined the list. I've got 2 Yamaha TX-7s and a Yamaha TQ-5, plus a KX-88 remote. Do you all still gig with your old FM synths? I've pretty much retired mine, though I still get some really good sounds - can't beat the harmonica with a breath-controller (BC-1).

Hi - Welcome to the YamahaDX list

There is a files dir at onelist
at
where you can find patches, manuals, and programs,
you have anything to upload yourself, then please
feel free to upload them or send them
as an attachement to the list, you can create
your own directories at the files area.

Have a good time !

DEAR Marc:
Dumpster and FREELOADER are on the web. ALESSIS freeloader and
dumpster are the names.
I can send them to you, if you can't find them. THEY will load sysex
to and from our DX7 to your pc.
I would like to trade patches with you, just let me know.
Best Wishes,
Pete Francz

Dear DX list:
I am trying to locate the file sharing sections for your egroup
and web sites. ( I found the DX11 files fine). I haven't found the
urls for the DX7 sites using the links that were posted by the
members.
I sure would appreciate the help. I've got some contributions waiting
for the sites. I would also like to trade patches with the list
members. JOEL's url "surf to mangey" takes me to yahoo, search tured
up empty. Joel's site will really help me, I've got some of the
equipmt. he's listed.
Sorry for my difficulty, I would appreciate your help.
Best Wishes,
Pete Francz
