Re: Looking for Yeasu tun/lin TTL protocol
Hi Richard,
This is the data I have. I’ll look for some more if I can remember.

Re: Looking for Yeasu tun/lin TTL protocol
Thanks Chris, I am aware of the diff between RS232 and TTL, if you have a chance please look in the support section of my website WWW.VE2DX.COM ( /g/YaesuTuner/message/WWW.VE2DX.COM )

Re: Looking for Yeasu tun/lin TTL protocol
The RS-232 connector presents the same information except it's not TTL. TTL stands for transistor-transistor logic and has generally referred to using 5 volt logic levels. Most ham radio

Looking for Yeasu tun/lin TTL protocol
Hey guys, here is some history to help understand my need;
in the ft8X7 and ft100 radios Yaesu was offering a mini din 8 pin connector that had 3 functions, CAT TTL, TUNER, LINEAR, through simple

Re: Help! My FC-40 has failed
The band data signal is the same for the FT-450D and FT-991A. I
recently built a cable for my yaesu rigs that is working. The band select
table is listed at the top-right of the diagram. Note that the

Help! My FC-40 has failed
My FC-40 has failed to tune my long wire properly after working flawlessly for the last 4-5 years.? I did some more extensive testing and found this unique result.? It tunes properly on all bands

Re: FC-50 Tuner?
My FC-40 needs a longer radiating element than the specs suggest. But I like to work on the 80 meter range.

Re: FC-50 Tuner?
Have not used nor do I own it but from some reviews it has a limited range (one quoted 3:1) so if this is true anything far out of resonance will be a no go with this tuner. Not necessarily a bad

FC-50 Tuner?
Anyone use the FC-50 tuner yet? I have an FT-891 and the FC-50 tuner. I am still working on antennas and the the General class license, so I have not tested anything yet.
Just checking in to learn

Re: FC-20
Will be very interesting. The fc40 does a good job if the antenna is
complemented with a unun/balun.

Re: FC-20
Thanks Jerry. It looks like the fc20 and fc40 use different wiring too!
I think that the key information that I'm looking for is how the tuning command is initiated. It seems that the fc20 is the

Re: FC-20
Probably of no help, I have the FC40 ATU the schematic shows all the
signal wires going directly to the main processor. The pins are tx inhibit,
reset, sense, data in/out, gnd, tx gnd and 13.5 v.

Interested in following this up. (I have asked the same question on the FT100 forum/s)
Short answer - I haven't found anyone.
Longer answer ….
Clearly, the antenna tune mechanism is fundamentally

Re: FC-40 Flexibility
Build a fan dipole (several parallel dipoles each for a specific band)
Then your internal tuner could tune that with ease
Autotuner like fc40, sgc (xxx), and some other can easy be used for tuning

Re: FC-40 Flexibility
I decided to go ahead and get the radio to see what could be accomplished with the internal ATU. I installed a 2 band dipole (10M and 20M) and the radio will only autotune on those 2 bands so I'll
